The service was prompt, polite and attentive without any hint of “looking over your shoulder”. Everything possible was done to make you feel welcome like a long lost member of the family that came by for a visit.
The food was amazing. Definitely southern (the mashed potatoes were deep fried!) with generous portions, all cooked to perfection. My wife LOVED here fried green tomatoes and my salmon was cooked perfectly with an amazing dill drizzle, planked with a lemon on top AND BENEATH the fish as well to let the lemon seep in throughout the fish.
With my fish were candied Brussels sprouts, cooked perfectly (and so many I had to take them home). The whole meal warmed up perfectly the next day.
This is a must go to place. If you are driving by, don’t blink or you will miss it.... and you will have missed an amazing experience.
Can’t wait until our next Angel Oak experience!
