Today, Congress unveiled a $900 billion relief bill to provide short-term economic relief to the country in the face of the coronavirus pandemic. The plan includes several items that will benefit restaurants and hotels, most importantly a second round of access to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), with unique provisions aimed to assist the restaurant industry, which continues to endure unparalleled job and revenue losses.

We are pleased that Congress has reached a deal on COVID relief.

While details are still being finalized, here is what we know so far:
Congressional leadership has agreed on a $900 billion economic stimulus package – the second largest in U.S. history. This latest version includes:
- another round of small-business aid through PPP
- $300-per-week in unemployment benefits, and
- a second round of stimulus checks, among other things.

Overall, we believe this is a pretty good economic relief package for our industry.
