Little brother came and visited me this weekend to see my work Miller Gallery. We failed to take a photo together but he took this one of me and my work. I come from a lot of good men, brother’s definitely carrying it on. You can buy these pieces here :
“With a shared vision in mind, Rachael Nerney and Kiah A. Bellows Art decided to bring in a fresh perspective. They called on photographer Kate Blohm to elevate the reference photography. Blohm is a freelance photographer, recently moved to Charleston from Atlanta with an extensive client list of chefs, farmers, and entrepreneurs. Scapes explored the idea of the tablescape as a landscape, while using Blohm’s imagery as a leaping-off point for this new painting series from Bellows and Nerney. Blohm’s photo captures a warm, inviting, brunch time tablescape full of fresh beverages and local indulgences underneath Charleston palms. In this exhibit all three artists share their own interpretation of this welcoming scene. In a time where we have to think twice before hugging a friend, community and collaboration take the spotlight.”

I’m so excited to be a part of this collaboration, and being able to work with such incredible artists. These pieces are some of my favorites to date. Pre-sale is online now at Tomorrow is opening night, if you’re in Charleston come see us 5-7 PM, Miller Gallery

Next up at Miller Gallery! UNBROKEN feat. local artists Antonecchia and Dargan.

Two artists working in different mediums have come together for a duet exhibition at Miller Gallery.

Unbroken will feature Charleston's own Liv Antonecchia and Laura Melonas Dargan.

Dargan's dynamic, multi-layered paintings explore the continuous shape of the sphere. "I was inspired by the idea of an unbroken shape that offers a limitless interpretation to the viewer. My goal was to create scenarios for the viewer to indulge in and contemplate" says Dargan.

Antonecchia took to the potter's wheel for Unbroken, stating, "This series of forms has been a continuation of ceramic work started years ago when I first started my journey working in clay. The idea of growth, connection and healing is a process which to me became the physical form of organic circles. The inspiration was continued on my functional thrown and altered vases. I was really excited to see the play and contrast of the gold luster adornment against the matte surface".

Artist reception is open to the public. Please wear a mask if you're unvaccinated or high-risk. Beverages will be served. All are welcome.

Reception is 1-4 on August 7, 2021.

“Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. ... As opposed to emotionally warm colors like red, orange, and yellow; blue is linked to consciousness and intellect.”

We said we had some big news coming this week… Well, it’s here!!

Our motto at Miller Gallery is Art For All. While we know not every piece of artwork is going to resonate with every person (and it shouldn’t!), we do believe that art is something everyone should be able to enjoy - on our walls and in their personal spaces!

After a zillion hours of research we finally found an interest-free art payment company that we’re excited to partner with. They understand the importance of artists being paid in full, immediately, and they understand the intricacies of small business life.

So, have you heard of @artmoney_us ? If not, I’d love to introduce you!

By filling out the 2 minute application on their site you can apply for interest-free art buying power. You can make 10 payments, over the span of 10 months, with a minimum down payment of 10%... and you get your artwork right away! To learn more or start using Art Money now, head to their site to sign up. We did it ourselves and guys, it really is EASY.

Whether you're looking to diversify your assets by investing in artwork or you've been saving up to buy a piece you love, this is a win-win solution.

More Art for All, please 💕

Lookin’ good from all angles. Three of our favorite pieces under $1000 by @livibon21 @katehoorayosmond and @juliadeckmanstudio 😍

We have an exciting announcement coming up in a few days, so be sure you’re tuned in and signed up for our weekly newsletter!

Working on your gallery wall? We love helping you group new + existing pieces together. A few tips for the budding curator:

1. Start with a mood. We call this one “light, bright, and blue”. Is “rainbow, pop, party time” your jam? Cool. Black and white? Heck yeah.

2. A variety of sizes and textures provide the most interest for the eye. Wall sculpture, photography, paintings, postcards, portraits, mounted plants - they all work!

3. Frames don’t have to match! Don’t be a matcharoni. Let each piece sing, but if you need to swap frames out for ones that “go” better, we can help you find those too!

4. Gallery walls can grow, change, and morph with you! Don’t be afraid to pick a new piece up here and there along your journey. Balance can always be recalibrated with a few shifts.

Happy art hunting. A great place to start is our ‘$500 and Under’ section on our website’s SHOP drop down 😉
