10 minute time lapse of Santi shi (three body posture). Santi Shi is the foundation of Xingyi Quan (form-intention fist). One stands 70 percent waited on back foot and 30 percent on front, bending the knees to sink down into the hips and tuck the tailbone as to straighten the spine. The torso is upright as well as the high point of the head lifted by slightly tucking the chin. Chest is slightly sunken to promote breathing down to the the lower abdominal region and create a rounded structure/connection from the back to the arms as well as many other details. In internal martial arts we often meditate and work out at the same time and use this posture to improve internal structure while clearing and focusing the mind’s intention for practice.
