Wednesday is one of our favorite days! Today Mercantile and Mash made hot meals for our Neighborhood House location. Our dedicated volunteer couple, Gloria and Don brought the much-needed joy on this dreary day while handing out lunch

On Friday, we held the grand opening of our Neighborhood House Dental Clinic! We are so thankful to have the opportunity to show the new space to the community, volunteers, partner organizations, grantors and even Mayor John Tecklenburg.

We want to send out a special thanks to BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, Trident United Way, Delta Dental of South Carolina, and Medical Society of South Carolina for the funding that made this Dental Clinic a reality.

While there are many areas of wealth throughout this region and high-quality medical facilities, there are still communities that have little to no access to healthcare. Those affected are our neighbors who are uninsured or underinsured and do not have comprehensive dental care. The Neighborhood House Dental Clinic provides greater access to oral care and complements other downtown dental resources for those living in Downtown Charleston and West Ashley.

A shout out to Mercantile and Mash for providing and incredible breakfast for the event and supporting us throughout the year!
