HAPPY HOLIDAYS ALL!! May you and your family find it filled with peace, love & laughter!
HAPPY 9th ANNIVERSARY!
Thank you, fantastic actors, staff & guests, for making us the Best Comedy Mystery Theatre on the Block!
We're thinking of adding some new Black Fedora Theatre souvenir items to our Gift Shoppe. SO if YOU personally were looking for a souvenir while on vacation – visiting a place like ours, perhaps – what type of souvenir would you want? Example: T-shirt, cups, mugs, key rings, Xmas ornament, etc? (Thanks for the input!)
I am SO THANKFUL that our little theatre is open once again! So as the grateful owner of a small business, I'm asking you - with respect to your views and concerns - to please consider getting vaccinated.

OUR SHOWS RETURN

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND (May 27, 2021)!

Purchase tickets now at www.charlestonmysteries.com

Because we need to work again …
And we ALL need to laugh again!
Note to self: Be ye gentle with others today. In the words of one of the great mystery writers, Raymond Chandler, the other guy is "fighting the long grim fight like the rest of us."
WE NEED TO GET BACK TO WORK SOON because too much time on social media has made it clear to me I am becoming that grumpy old fogey: To half of you under a certain age I want to say, “Yes, you’re good-looking, put some clothes on, save something for the honeymoon.” And to half of you over: “Please tell me more of your fervent opinions on politics, religion and the Great Pumpkin, right after I stab this red hot fireplace poker into my eye.”

A Celebration of Life Ceremony for Larry Pinker will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 2:00pm at the Goose Creek United Methodist Church, 142 Redbank Rd, Goose Creek, SC.

If you are planning to attend and are from out of town, God Bless You. Please PM for information on hotel accommodations near by.

Passing along this great message!
A MESSAGE FROM BABY NEW YEAR 2020

Dear World,

So did THAT get out of hand fast or what?! Totally my bad. No, no, this one’s on me. Got off track early and it just snowballed.

ANYHOO, just wanted to assure you we ARE in the final stretch NOW with only the one TINY post-US election hiccup remaining.
And hey! Year 2021’s bringing TWO new Ben & Jerry’s flavors AND acid rain protective umbrellas! Nice, right?!

So again, wow, so sorry, but hang in there, friends, it’s all* roses and rainbows hereon!

(*If you see aluminum foil on sale, grab a couple extra rolls, do NOT eat broccoli after October, and if you’re planning a trip to Canada, maybe think sooner rather than later.)

Okay, 20 out!
A Poem … For Our Times … by our lonely* playwright.

There’s a little dark cloud hanging over me,
Pointing out the troubles that it sees,
Uneasy times for health and sanity,
Social unrest and general disharmony,
Loss of purpose and a pained economy,
Missing absent friends and family,
So I invited that little dark cloud out for a cup of tea,
Then whacked him over the head with a baseball bat.

Don’t you let your little dark cloud win either. Happy Week!

*Waiting hopefully to welcome you all back soon
to Charleston's Black Fedora Comedy Mystery Theatre!

Playing this week - Inspector No Clue's Murder Mystery Show, which just so happens to be Charleston's longest consecutive running show! 🎭

None gathered to witness the reading of Mr. Body's will had any clue they could possibly come under suspicion of his murder! Nor could the real murderer have ever guessed that The Man in the Black Fedora would be in the house!! But when faced with a redneck butler, a gold-digging maid, and a tie-dyed dude, can the man who's one part Bogart, one part Holmes, and two parts Clouseau ever hope to deduce Whodunit before Whodusit again? Come see the show Atlanta audiences have been laughing at for years - Inspector NoClue's Murder Mystery, now making a home at Charleston's Black Fedora Comedy Mystery Theatre!

Just another redneck Tuesday … (Volunteers of Murder at the Redneck Reunion.)

If you love a good mystery, or need a good laugh ...

The Black Fedora Comedy Mystery Theatre & Shoppe features year-round live comedy-mystery shows, with original scripts, professional actors, volunteer audience participation, drinks, appetizers, and desserts. You can find us at 164 Church Street (mere shoe prints from the downtown City Market).

To Purchase Tickets: https://www.charlestonmysteries.com/ OR (843) 937-6453

What is this?

Our clean comic mysteries are similar to a play, though instead of a set, the actors use the whole space as the stage. Shows are often zany, with witty wordplay, and feature roles for up to 20 volunteer audience members! (You do not have to volunteer.)
