Depression is Not a Normal Part of Growing Older | Alzheimer's Disease and Healthy Aging | CDC

Getting older can present its own set of challenges, but #depression should not be one of them. This National Depression Screening Day, we want to remind all seniors that depression isn't an unavoidable part of aging and there IS help out there if you are struggling. A great place to start is this article by the CDC. Make sure to check out the web resources listed at the bottom of the page.

You are not alone. πŸ–€

Depression is Not a Normal Part of Growing Older | Alzheimer's Disease and Healthy Aging | CDC Depression is a true and treatable medical condition, not a normal part of aging. However older adults are at an increased risk for experiencing depression. If you are concerned about a loved one, offer to go with him or her to see a health care provider to be diagnosed and treated.
