It’s been a little while since NAMM and things are starting to sink in and I just wanted to share some stories with you about the experiences and people I’ve met at NAMM

When I first saw Brad Gillis he was talking to our good friend Miki Black so I walked over there and I told him I was playing the next night at the Ronnie Montrose Remembered show. I handed him one of my guitar picks he instantly pulled one out of his pocket and we exchanged picks!

He was so kind and treated me like a musician not just a kid at NAMM. There was a lot going on so he pulled me aside to have a conversation about music. He gave me some really good advice including how important it is to train my ear and how he learned the whole setlist for OZZY in such a short time.

The next time I saw him backstage he put his Strat “Bubba” around my neck and we got a photo together before I went on that night.

Thank you Brad.

Side stage I asked Mr. Doug Aldrich if he was playing on “I Don’t Want It” and he said yes. When I told him that I knew that song he asked if I wanted to jam with him…and I said yes!!! Big thanks to Doug Aldrich, Keith England, Brad Lang, and Mike Vanderhule for sharing the stage with me!
