Also, the rear doors have leaked and I have had towels jammed in the sides to minimize the cold air from coming in. I'm told that may just be the way it is.
Purchased pricey optional heated floors, they haven't worked since the settlement inspection.
The house was delivered eight months after it was promised.

I believe it was important to give you this background information because I wanted to make sure you understood the precise circumstances that took us out to Fredericksburg. When we arrived 2 hours later, probably 30 minutes before it was due to end, there were several people there. We spoke to Joey briefly before he went to show a family a house with acreage. Our plan, since it took so long to get there, was to take our food with us, instead of eating in the model house alone. (When Joey left the house cleared out except us). We both made a plate, put it in a bag that was in the kitchen and I took it to my car. I went back into the house because we wanted to look through the model houses. We were hoping to view a Lexington in person. As we were walking outside heading to the model next door, we were stopped by Susan who said to me, “Take the food out of your car and take it back in”. It was not a question of, oh I wonder why you took the food out of the house, which is what she apparently told Joey. In response to her I said, “Excuse me”. She said something to the effect, you can’t just take food out of here… I told her, I think buying a $500,000 house would afford me the ability to take a plate of food. Of which she agreed, but did not believe I bought a house. I will allow you to make your own judgement as to why you believe she did not think I actually bought a house. Mind you, I am a prior police officer and Military Police officer in the Army. I am currently a college professor teaching criminology and criminal justice courses. I said that to say, I know what it is to be stopped and questioned by someone, in her mind, who is in authority. I was extremely upset, I felt disrespected and quite frankly insulted. I immediately called Joey but he did not answer. I text him to call me ASP because I was being harassed by his co-workers. By this time Tara came up to me and they were both looking for proof that I actually bought a house, I guess in order to allow me to leave with the food. Tara asked me my name, when I signed a contract, and several other questions. I told her and Susan that I bought in Warrenton. I couldn’t remember the name of the model I bought but I told them I had a personal invitation from Joey. I found myself showing Tara the text messages between Joey and me. She finally got Joey on the phone where she gets the confirmation that I actually bought a house, because otherwise I am not sure what they thought they were going to do to us. Before she actually got Joey on the phone I, foolishly, was still trying to explain to them why I was there, to include, being invited by Joey, wanting to look at the models and hoping to see a model of the Lexington. I said foolishly because it is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable that I would have to be stopped and made to feel like I had to offer proof for my presence. This, Ms. Martin, is the crux of the issue and why, perhaps very longwindedly, I explained in much detailed what occurred on Saturday. I wish to file a complaint against the Susan. I advised Joey that I wanted to file a complaint against her and wanted to know who I should communicate with. He provided me your name and email address. Susan was so rude and disrespectful, that it was imperative that I made you and others aware of her actions and the impact they had on us. I have specifically identified her, but Tara was not much better because she could have deescalated the situation but instead she joined in on the inquisition. This was so egregious that if I had not already bought a house from you all, I definitely would not have been. In fact, my wife and I plan on sharing our experience with Susan and Tara with our social media friends and followers, family, friends and students. Primarily to my students so I can use it as a teachable moment.
To sum it up Ms. Martin, my issues are these, Susan stopped me and told me to take something (food) out of my car and take it back inside. First I question, did she go into my car? She told Joey that we took “a lot of food” and feared we were taking more. If she didn’t go into my car and the house was empty when my wife and I made a plate, why would she assume and then use to justify her actions, that we had taken “a lot of food”. Further, I was empty handed when she approached me, so her theory that we were taking more food is bogus. My second issue/question is, even if I had not bought a home with KHov, and I was just a member of the community that came to an event for the public with complimentary food, is it protocol to treat the public like that who might take food out? There were no signs displayed stating food could not leave the premises nor were there signs, or my understanding, that food was contingent on a signed contract. It would have been one thing for her to make a remark about me taking food. That still would have been rude, but to stop me and tell me to take it out of my car, takes it to another level. My third issue is this, she told me to take the food back into the house, which begs the question, would she have served the food to someone else? Probably not, or at least I hope not. So for her it would have been a better option to throw it away instead of letting me take it. And that is just unacceptable. My last issue is with Tara. Perhaps you can call it misguided loyalty to her co-worker, but she immediately joined in and escalated the problem instead of squashing it. She also, from my understanding, attempted to quantify the amount of food that was taken by confirming that it was “a lot”. The only thing Tara could accurately attest to was Susan and me talking.
Susan made a judgement about who we were and why we were there. Again, I will not presume to state I know what her judgement was, but there was one made, because otherwise, why bother. She tried to bolster her position by claiming we took “a lot of food” and that there was a threat we would take more. I hoped that last statement seemed as ridiculous to you as it did to me.
Immediately after this happened my wife and I were very upset and we believed she should not be allowed to continue to work with KHov. If she treated me like that, she probably has or will treat others like that. I can’t imagine KHov would want to associate themselves or employ anyone who treats customers or potential customers in that manner. But, the embarrassment and humiliation over two plates of complimentary food demands at the very least, an apology by Susan to my wife and I.
