Happy Social Media Giving Day! Thank you to the many who partner with WFCM to connect families with the essential resources of food and financial assistance to maintain safe housing and strengthen food security.

Together we can serve clients like Heather. Heather works hard to support her family of six and her husband, a veteran who struggles with stable employment due to a disability, selects food in our markets each month. Heather shared, "Western Fairfax Christian Ministries' (WFCM) client choice food pantry allows people to select foods that best fit their family's needs. The staff are warm, friendly, and professional. They work with families to make sure that the pantry offers foods that they can eat, including access to dairy, eggs, meat, and fresh produce. Having a client-choice pantry allows each family the autonomy and dignity that is not often found when accessing assistance. Additionally, they offer nutrition classes, connections to other resources, and holiday meal assistance. This service has been a blessing to my own family. I can shop for exactly what my family needs. WFCM works hard to remove barriers that exist for all clients dealing with food insecurity."

Consider donating today at wfcmva.org/donate to support WFCM’s work in the community.

As we close out this fiscal year (our fiscal year runs July 1 - June 30), the WFCM team enjoyed a dinner after work (four wonderful team members not photographed). We are grateful to one of our board members who provided the funds for this dinner and opportunity for us to gather outside of the office.

We are looking forward to beginning the new fiscal year with a renewed spirit of teamwork and collaboration as we work with our volunteers, board of directors, and supporting community members and organizations to meet the critical needs our neighbors have for food security and safe and stable housing.
