Shoutout to for their incredible generosity! 💙Last week, they delivered an entire pallet of diapers and baby wipes for the little siblings of our students. Our amazing Family Support Specialists have already begun distributing these essentials to our families. At the heart of our programs is a simple belief: when we support the whole family, we uplift every child. ✨

Many thanks to HomeAid National Capital Region for their generous delivery of diapers and wipes to the ACCA food pantry this morning! Shout out to Jason (pictured below) for his kindness and helpfulness! We will put them to good use delivering to local families along with other groceries.

Our Story
HomeAid Northern Virginia seeks to build new lives for homeless families and individuals through housing and community outreach. HomeAid’s goal is to be a major resource for Northern Virginia service providers through the construction and maintenance of housing for the homeless. Our programs serve a diverse mix of people within the homeless population, including victims of domestic violence; people with disabilities; those suffering from chronic physical or mental health issues; and homeless children and teens.
In 2001, members of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA) formed HomeAid Northern Virginia (a chapter of HomeAid America) in the belief that the best way to solve homelessness is to ensure everyone has a safe place to live. HomeAid’s connections with the homebuilding industry ensure that we are able to secure significant donations of labor and resources to each of our shelter projects; HomeAid relies on the generosity and expertise of professional builders, trade partners, suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors to provide these much-needed renovations and building services.
Since our inception, homebuilders, trade partners, manufacturers, suppliers and subcontractors have generously donated more than $6.5 million to HomeAid’s projects – saving shelters more than 50% of construction costs – money that they have been able put back into the programs and services that truly enable homeless families and individuals to get back on the road to self-sufficiency.
Having a safe, stable home has an overwhelmingly positive impact on a person’s ability to lead a successful and fulfilling life and housing is the first step in overcoming the issues that lead to homelessness – those who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless need a home before they can focus on making changes in their lives.
Safe, dignified housing gives stability that is so essential an element to long-term success. HomeAid’s programs offer a second chance to those most in need in our community.
