Fun fact: Sarah, my group Color Analysis assistant and mine and Drew's office manager, is my dear friend from college who introduced me to her brother on Thanksgiving almost 25 years ago. Drew and I will celebrate our 24th anniversary in August.

She's one of my favorite humans and makes sure my big gigs run smoothly.

We work our buns off at these events then zip home to be with our families. She's moving closer to us in July and we can hardly wait πŸ’•

Have you met Sarah yet?!

We're both heading into Cool!

The way the catering/hospitality team incorporated the rainbow of colors into the event details today was so inspiring!

Sarah and I did Color Analysis over 2.5 hours on about 25 ladies then afterward they enjoyed a catered dinner in this gorgeous space.

So gorgeous!

A gorgeous space to do Color Analysis for 20 professional ladies today! They were all so kind and lovely. I'm very grateful for my business and the wonderful people I get to meet πŸ™πŸ»

It took about 2.5 hours doing groups of five at a time which was a great pace. The gals who organized the event were so fun to work with.

Sarah and I bring the Color Analysis to you for $1,200 at your office, home or venue anywhere in the Phoenix valley.

Reach out to me to schedule yours. Day, evening and weekends in July are currently open.

In 1998, at the age of 20, I left everyone and everything I knew and moved with my parents, dog, cat and bunny to Gilbert, Arizona🌡 to get a fresh start. The water tower, one main intersection, adorable downtown, fields, small-town feel and farm smell reminded me of my best childhood years spent in rural northern Florida.

I was home.

I attended and earned my Associate of Arts degree. I worked at Diane's Hallmark store. I attended church in Gilbert and dated a guy I met in the college ministry.

In the early 2000s I attended in Phoenix and met Sarah who introduced me to Drew.

My bridal tea was at when it was a tea room in 2002! My bridal luncheon was hosted at . We were married at

We lived in Paradise Valley before building our first home in Avondale, AZ where we served at and brought both of our sons home from the hospital.

When it was time for our oldest son to start kindergarten in 2012, we moved back to the east valley (a quarter mile from my parents) and have lived in Chandler-Gilbert ever since.

The and were vital to my early entrepreneurial journey. I loved serving, connecting and learning.

I hosted a "Shop hop" in Gilbert when my birthday fell on Black Friday and introduced family and friends to and what became .

In 2021 we moved from the Chandler-Gilbert border on the Chandler side to the Gilbert side.

Last week I was invited by dear friends to go to to see The Wizard of Oz and felt so happy to be in the town I love. That's when I snapped this photo.

I've always called Gilbert "my heart's home." It's true more now than ever.

Often after long gigs or back-to-back appointments, a friend will ask if I'm exhausted. "I could do it all again!" I reply.

Teaching, facilitating and hosting all energize me.

Writing, strategizing, dreaming and planning energize me.

Spreadsheets, contracts, paperwork, dealing with people I don't mesh with all drain me.

Promoting and posting about other people is energizing. Doing it for myself is draining (I think when it's for me I feel a lot of pressure and expectation).

Decluttering and organizing energize me.

Shopping for longer than an hour? Exhausting, especially without a focus or list, or with other people.

Long conversations without activity drain me.

Why am I thinking about this? Because two years ago my mom's health started declining. Since then, I've grieved and grown, I've taken care of myself and I've pushed myself. I've learned that I often misrepresent my capacity. What brings me joy is different now.

My business offerings feel different. Typing a lot of people fast or doing a simple color analysis is really fun but now I'm craving more soul and connection.

I'm pondering next steps, how I want to spend my days and how to incorporate more of the activities that bring me joy while also protecting my peace.

I miss hosting and teaching!

I also miss Style School so now I'm looking at dates for a fall style School. Stay tuned πŸ‘€

Every Monday since I've had a business has been "Get 'er done day" because I learned that if I didn't take care of it early in the week, life would take over and it wouldn't get done.

Sometimes when things really like up I set aside an additional half day too. Returns, errands, drop-offs, pick-ups.

I don't dress cute because I want my brain to be in productivity mode and not thinking about going somewhere or meeting up with a friend. I try to stay off my phone so I don't get sucked down the rabbit hole of social media or texts. And I crank on my to-do list.

W E L C O M E ✨ to the followers of my personal account who hopped over to follow my business page! This is where I hang out most (when I'm not in Tabitha Dumas Gilbert, AZ or on Pinterest).

I'm a member of The Women 360 and monthly participant at Content Ready Sessions.

My team is small. Ginnie Rowe manges my website/blog. Tiffiny Spire is my book coach and editor. Alicia Kern | Beba Photography Serving Arizona does most of my professional photography. Jen Hoffman | Everyday Beauty is my makeup dealer and teams up with my on MakeUpdates. Lynn Fredes, Family Nurse Practitioner | Integrative Health is my Nurse Practitioner. Sparrow Counseling East Valley is my counselor. Drew's sister Sarah assists me at events, is our office manager and strategizes with me.

The last 1.5 years since my mom passed away have been so incredibly hard and also full of growth and clarity.

I'm treating this summer as a bit of a re-set after 20 years of "putting myself out there" so I can best serve my ladies and honor our season of life.

"Old" or new...I'm so glad you're here!

What type of rest do you need this weekend? As an enneagram 2 (helper/giver) the second one is definitely a favorite. Connecting to art or nature is another and a current favorite is alone time at home. Last night I indulged in watching TV and it was so nice!

Which one appeals most to you today?
