Largest Coffee Shop Chains in Southeast Asia
Coffee culture has become a defining lifestyle trend across Southeast Asia, with local chains rapidly expanding to meet growing demand. Each country has developed its own signature brand that reflects local tastes and traditions while competing with international giants.
In Indonesia, Kopi Kenangan leads the way with more than 850 outlets nationwide, while Malaysia’s ZUS Coffee has expanded to over 360 branches. The Philippines boasts Bo’s Coffee with more than 100 stores, and Cambodia is represented by Brown Coffee & Bakery with around 46 locations. Singapore, though smaller in scale, is known for heritage brands like Ya Kun Kaya Toast and Killiney Kopitiam, which have expanded beyond the island nation.
On a larger scale, Thailand’s Café Amazon dominates the region with approximately 3,300 outlets, making it one of the biggest coffee chains in Asia. Vietnam follows closely with Trung Nguyen Coffee, which has grown to around 2,500 branches. These brands not only highlight the diversity of Southeast Asia’s coffee culture but also showcase how local businesses are thriving in the face of global competition.
