👉 Avoid aggressive driving: Excessive accelerating and braking on the highway can lower your gas mileage by a whopping 33%.​

👉 Avoid idling, especially with AC on: You're paying 1 to 3 cents per minute that your car is running. With AC on, it's 2 to 4 cents.​

👉 Close the windows: If you're driving at highway speeds with your windows open, you're making your car fight extra drag, which burns more fuel.​

👉 Remove the rack: Not using the roof rack? Remove it to improve your fuel efficiency by up to 10%​

👉 Lose weight: Hauling 100 lbs. of junk in your car's trunk for no reason? Get rid of it and you'll improve fuel efficiency by 2%.​
