There is still time to help Touro Law students in need by making a gift to the Student Support Fund. Every penny raised will be used to support our students who are in crisis. You can make a difference.
Here's what one student has to say about the current situation: “Last semester, my priority was law school. Since the virus, my priorities have had to change. I had surgery to remove a tumor which has compromised my health, my family restaurant is struggling to keep afloat, my husband's wellbeing is compromised in the NYPD every day, and I have my older parents that I must keep safe.”
Your support will help this student and many others in precarious situations during this crisis. Your gift can keep them on track to fulfill their dreams of a legal career. Please give if you can. No gift is too small or too large. By stepping up during this time of need, you are personifying the Touro mission of community outreach-neighbor helping neighbor and alumni helping students.
Touro Together - Student Support Fund - Touro Law Center Your donation to Touro Law’s Student Support Fund will provide much-needed assistance to our students who are suffering from this crisis. A message from Dean Harry Ballan:
Dear Alumni & Friends,
The Touro community has once again been generous in celebrating Giving Tuesday. We exceeded our goal by 45 donors with a total of 145 gifts from alumni, faculty, staff, administration, board members, friends and students. Gift amounts ranged from $1 to $1,000.
We met and exceeded the challenge of our anonymous donor who pledged $10,000 if we received 100 donations by midnight last night. When added together with the funds from our challenge, the campaign successfully raised more than $18,000 and still counting.
We know that a few people are still considering a donation. If you were unable to make a gift on Giving Tuesday, and would still like to participate, please visit www.tourolaw.edu/givingtuesday to make a gift online.
Our heartfelt thanks for your contributions and your support of Touro Law Center.
Best,
Harry
