You've planed your Prom or Long Island Wine Tour, you’ve invited your friends and or relatives. You've worked very hard to make this day very memorable. Last on the list is finding transportation that will fit your group comfortably and safety. So you come up with the idea of a NYC or Long Island party bus which sounds like a great deal of fun. You go on line and pick a limousine company that shows a bus. You call and they are very nice on the phone. You need a 50 passenger bus ( many friends). They tell you, "no problem we have a bus that will suite your needs". Great, you hire them. However, on the day of your event you notice that it's sort of cramped in the bus and at least 5 people have no where to sit. You've been told a non truth. So this is lesson 101 on renting the proper bus for your group size. Firstly, visit the limousine company and view the bus you intent to rent. If they tell you the bus is out working make an appointment as to when it won't be working. Notice weather or not there is a rest room on the bus. Notice the height of the ceiling, how many rear axles, 2 are better than 1. Actual passenger capacity? How do you figure out if the truth is being stretch?. Answer….. There is a diamond shaped NYSDOT inspection sticker on the passenger side of the vehicles windshield. On the back side of this sticker will be hand written the vehicle’s seating capacity. Lastly, ask for the operators New York State DOT / MC / and US DOT numbers. Armed with this information go to www.Safer.fmcsa.dot.gov . You have entered the United States Department of Transportation web site. Armed with this information, you can look up the limousine companies safety record. This is very important. Don't be fooled, do your homework. For the record, our NYSDOT # is 36481 and our MC # is 600865. We have a stellar 100% safety record. Our Party Bus is a TRUE 50 passenger with a restroom and bar.
