Here's some information about local transit services for the Thanksgiving Holiday...

Cedar Rapids Transit will not be running on Thanksgiving. They will resume running on Friday after Thanksgiving, but with no peak route service. Complete service resumes on Monday, 11/29.

Linn County LIFTS will not be running on Thanksgiving. They will be running abbreviated service in the metro area (no rural service) on Friday and Saturday, then back to full service on the following Monday.

Horizons/Neighborhood Transportation Service (NTS) will not be running on Thanksgiving or Friday 11/26. They will restart service at 2 am on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, then back to normal schedules.

Please check with other transit providers to see how/if their schedules are changing for the holiday. Take care and travel safely!

It serves as the first step in a comprehensive environmental scan. Activities are planned in 2021-2022 to explore more deeply the transportation needs and concerns identified by the 2,435 diverse individuals who responded to the survey, including:

• Obtaining insights and recommendations for action from attendees at the National Convening, to be held in the fall of 2021
• Holding a series of focus groups with older adults, younger adults with disabilities and caregivers from historically marginalized and underserved communities across the United States
• Convening regional meetings with transportation, aging and disability professionals and other stakeholders
