[10/29/17]   Frequently Asked Questions about AQUAMASSAGE
What is Aquamassage?
Aquamassage is a quick, convenient way to get a full-body massage. An Aquamassage machine looks similar to a tanning bed. All you need to do to prepare for the Aquamassage is remove your shoes -no need to undress. After your shoes are removed you will lay down on the bed of Aquamassage machine. You will put on headphones to listen to relaxing music during your massage. The cover of the machine will come down over you. Then a bar with 36 warm water jets travels from your toes to your neck and back again and again for the duration of your massage.
Will I get wet?
No. There is a waterproof barrier between you and the water jets. It is a thin layer, so you will get all the benefits of the warm water pressure, but it does keep you from getting wet.
How much does Aquamassage cost?
Aquamassage is actually a very affordable massage option! Click here to see our Aquamassage Menu
How much time do I need to set aside?
Only 15-20 minutes. A 15 minute Aquamassage is roughly equivalent to a 45 minute massage with a massage therapist. At this time, no appointments are needed, so you can just walk right in whenever you feel the need for a massage; no waiting weeks or days for relief.
Is an Aquamassage very relaxing?
Yes! There are 36 jets of warm water spraying at your body from many angles. The jets travel up and down your body multiple times during your massage, giving you a full body massage. The sound and motion of the water are also very soothing an relaxing. In addition, you can further relax by listening to relaxing music on headphones during your massage.
How often should I get an Aquamassage?
Ideally, once to twice a week; this will keep your muscles, and your mind, relaxed. Your muscles will not have a chance to become too tight and sore between massages. You can even come in more often if you are working on a specific injury or problem area. But, if you get too busy and forget to come in for a while, remember you can stop in again any time, we are here for you!
Can I adjust my Aquamassage to my specific needs?
Yes! There are many different intensity levels that can be programmed into the machine. You can receive a light, gentle massage up to a very intense pressure for those of you who really have knots in your back or neck. The pressure can even be adjusted for different sections of your body. For example, if you really need to work on your lower back, but are a little more sensitive to so much pressure everywhere else, the machine can be programmed to suit your requirements. In addition, if you want to focus the massage on a certain spot, the machine can be paused any time you choose.
How does Aquamassage compare to a massage from a massage therapist?
Both forms of massage provide many of the same benefits such as relaxation, easing muscle and joint pain and increasing circulation. Both forms of massage can provide anywhere from light pressure for a relaxing massage to very hard pressure for more of a deep tissue massage.
One of the main differences in the two types of massage is that Aquamassage provides a full body massage and deep relaxation in only 15 minutes.
Will Aquamassage replace my massage therapist, chiropractor, or physical therapy visits?
It depends on the person. Some people may prefer Aquamassage to these other treatments. Some people may prefer the other methods of treatment. And many people will find that Aquamassage can be a perfect complement to these other forms of treatment. Aquamassage is a great way to stay relaxed in between massages from a massage therapist. It is also a great inexpensive and quick option to try shortly before or after a treatment with a massage therapist, chiropractor, or physical therapist. It can help your muscles relax and prepare for these other forms of treatment. It can also soothe muscles that may be sore after one of these other forms of treatment.
Is Aquamassage beneficial for the more mature person?
Definitely! Aquamassage helps with many of the aches and pains anyone of any age experiences. We have many customers who say regular aqua massage really helps relieve their back and joint pain.
Do men like Aquamassage?
Yes. In fact many men may be more apt to try an aqua massage rather than a traditional massage because:
It is a “hand-off” massage
You don’t have to make an appointment
You only need about 20 minutes
Is Aquamassage a good option after a workout at the gym?
Aquamassage is the perfect option after a workout at the gym or after playing a game. Our athletes love the relaxing and soothing effects of our Aquamassage because it relieves their body from soreness, relaxes the muscles and energizes their body.
