Our display will run from Thanksgiving night - Jan 1st
Please come enjoy the Christmas spirit.
Hope that everyone had a nice Christmas. We had all of our kids and grandkids over yesterday. That made it quite special for us.
Just wanted to let everyone know that the display will up until New Years Eve. So Sunday will be the last day to swing by.
We have plenty of hot Cocoa. Come by for a cup before bedtime
Looks like it will be a nice evening tonight. So we are going to do an impromptu Hot Cocoa night. If you are out and about, please come by.
The Cocoa will be on sale for 50 cent a cup. All proceeds will go to the Cedar Park area food bank
I have the new Teddy Bear Train out in the display. He is driving across the Pennybacker Bridge
We're back! Everything is up and running again. It's so great to see the display as it should be and so many people back to enjoy it. Come check it out!
I finally made it back home from my business trip. I checked the lights and think I have resolved most of the problems. I will work on them more tomorrow.
I want to give a huge thank you to David Johnston and Ramon Mendoza for offering to try and resolve my technical issues when I was out of town. It was so nice of them to offer. It is always nice to have good friends willing to help out.
Sorry for the inconvenience.😞The synchronization on our light show is not working. The lights are still on but our trees have no sense of rhythm😜. Unfortunately, our computer tech (Frank) is out of town but he will be back soon and will address the problem. In the meantime we thank you for your patience and encourage you all to visit anyway and enjoy the rest of the display. Rest assured Frank will be severely reprimanded by the quality control division (his wife) when he returns.
Just arrived in Berlin. I am doing my annual German tour. Presenting at a conference and meeting customers.
I really liked the Christmas Tree in the Berlin main train station.
I have visited 4 or 5 Christmas Markets so far. I am sure I 3 or 4 more to go.
The start of the Christmas season has begun at the Rhodes family home! The lighting was a great success and we were joined by friends, family and neighbors. It's always wonderful to see people enjoying and appreciating Frank's hard work. We hope our fans can continue to allow us to be part of their holiday tradition or if you have never visited, we would love for ya'll to come by.
Everything is officially done!! This is a sneak peek of the end result. Frank and Jesus Duran did a fantastic job with the display and the neighborhood lights. Don't forget to join us tomorrow for the lighting at 5:45 pm. Have a happy and blessed Thanksgiving.
Multitasking..grilling and building
Hello again everyone! Christmas is just around the corner and Frank is hard at work getting everything ready for the official 2023 lighting. He has been under the weather so he is a little behind on the display setup. Luckily our family has come to help so I'm sure he'll be back on track soon. We will turn the lights on Thanksgiving evening at 5:30 pm so if you're in the neighborhood come by for the official lighting.
Merry Christmas everyone! We hope you all had a happy and safe Christmas. Just wanted to remind everyone that if you haven't been able to come by to see the lights or want another peek, the lights show will be up until January 1. Thank you all for allowing Rhodes Family Christmas to be part of your holidays!🙂🎄
We had a great evening with Santa last night. I would like to thank everyone who visited and donated to the food bank.
We are so grateful for Santa and his helper Cody for taking time out of their busy schedule to visit with us. We really enjoyed watching all the kiddos light up when they talked to Santa. Also, thank you to our family and friends that helped setup and keep the hot chocolate flowing.
A big shout out to my next door neighbor Keertana and her friend Abby for running the Hot Chocolate table. The girls did a great job and were a wonderful addition to regular Christmas crew.
Hi everyone! The Trail of lights is cancelled for today but we are still here. Everything is up and running and Santa will be ready to visit with all his fans. Come by and say hello, we'd love to meet ya'll!
Santa will be visiting on Tuesday December 20th, from 6-9.
We will have Hot Cocoa available for sale and like always, I will be handing out Candy Canes.
It has been a few years since Santa was able to get over to our display, with Covid and all. I hope everyone can come out join us.
Remember we are still collecting for the Food Bank, so please bring some can goods.
Merry Christmas
Frank
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We turned on the lights on Thanksgiving evening. I had everything up, except the lights on the bushes. It stood out to me, but I doubt anyone else even noticed.
Here are some photos from the lighting. Hope that everyone can make it by. We are working to have a Santa Visit later this year. We will provide more details soon.
We wish everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving! Don't forget to join us for the official Christmas light display lighting at 5:45 pm Thanksgiving evening. See you the then!
Here are some photos of the setup. My first task is to take down the Halloween decorations.
Then I outline the house with lights.
There are some photos of me putting the waterfall together as well as all of the animals I need to build.
Hi everyone! Sorry we haven't been keeping ya'll posted on the light display progress. Frank was out of the country for 3 weeks so he is running behind. Luckily, we have some family visiting for Thanksgiving break so Frank has had a wonderful helper(Jesus Duran). They were making great progress but yesterday we tried putting up the arch that runs across the driveway and it broke. Kudos to Frank for not letting the expletives fly. They had to disassemble part of the arch, patch it and reassemble it. They did a great job and we were able to put the arch up this afternoon! Things are back on track for the lighting Thanksgiving evening at 5:45 pm. Hope yall can come join us for the official lighting!
