The weather has taken its toll on our clinic and staff. We don't anticipate to be able to open until Monday. Again, we are truly sorry for the inconvenince. We're working diligently to be able to provide healthcare to our patients. Stay home. Stay safe. Stay warm.

Our pipes are frozen and power is out frequently. We don't expect to be able to open the clinic until at least Thursday. We apologize for the inconvenience and are grateful for your patience.

Please join us in welcoming Nella Stout, APRN, FNP-C to FMC as our new Family Nurse Practitioner. Nella is completing her training with Dr. Foster and our other providers and will be available for patient visits soon.

At this time, we only recommend in-office visits when an exam is needed, or when complex symptoms require an in person visit.

We are performing low volume COVID-19 testing on the ventilated covered porch area outside our rear entrance. DO NOT approach this area if another patient is seated there. A parking cone is in place. CALL FIRST. We have taken multiple precautions with PPE, trained disinfectant policies, two dedicated isolation rooms (which always smell of Clorox), and nightly germicidal UV Type C lighting to maintain a safe environment for our elderly and at risk patients. FMC began logging daily staff temperature and pulse ox saturation readings before any County order was in place. We are striving to take care of all of our patients, by the safest and lowest contact means possible. We are also striving to collect prevalence data to guide our leaders, to know when it's "safe to go back to work."

For at home phone calls, or telemedicine visits, it's great if you have a thermometer, BP cuff, a scale, and maybe a pulse oximeter for your visit. You CAN be your own vitals nurse. For our pulmonary risk patients and their caretakers, we will have a limited number of hard to find bluetooth pulse oximeters next week, for rent at $20 per 14 days (with a $40 deposit), or for purchase at $60. Non-bluetooth pulse oximeters are fine for most folks too, and they're cheaper.

Dr. Foster’s attentions are divided at the moment as he is working with laboratories, epidemiologists, and local officials to get more COVID-19 testing and prevalence data, here in Cedar Park. He is also helping to implement and supervise policies at the volunteer clinic, Samaritan Health Ministries.

We are aware of the COVID-19 concerns happening in our community and are closely monitoring the situation. The health and safety of our patients and staff are our number one priority.

We respectfully ask our patients who our scheduled for wellness exams to reschedule for a later date. If you have a follow up appointment, please try to utilize our telemedicine application whenever possible. If you are due for medication refills or you have medical questions or concerns we ask that you call and speak to one of our medical staff.

If you are coming to our office for an appointment due to illness (fever, sore throat, cough, vomiting, etc.), we ask that you ring the bell at our back door so that we may escort you to a separate waiting room away from our patients that are not acutely ill.

We hope to receive your full understanding and support as we strive to provide the best possible healthcare while minimizing the spread of this virus.
