Happy last week of school, roll on Summer vacation! What a year it has been! As we reflect on the past 12 months, we're overflowing with gratitude for our incredible Cox PTA community. Your donations, your time, your energy – it's the fuel that powers everything we do. This partnership between parents and school - It's the heart and soul of our PTA, and we're so thankful for each and every one of you.

A huge thank you to Ms. Fitzgerald and Ms. Habermacher, whose rock-solid support means the world to us, and to our teachers and staff who go above and beyond, every single day. We see you, we appreciate you, thank you.

Our PTA Board: They've been the driving force behind an unforgettable year. Tireless, dedicated, and full of ideas – we're so proud of all we've achieved together. And speaking of proud... let's give it up for our Executive Board! Your hard work hasn't gone unnoticed, and we're so grateful for everything you do.

Now, it's time to put the spotlight on an extra-special volunteer. Yvonne Woo, you are our 'Cox PTA Volunteer of the Year'! Your daily presence in the cafeteria, your willingness to lend a hand (or open a stubborn box!), always with a smile, thank you for all that you do, Yvonne – we're so lucky to have you!

As we look to the future, we're excited to welcome Laura Furiani as our new PTA President. Laura, we know you'll lead us with the same passion and dedication that's defined your time on the Board. And to our returning Board members – we're thrilled to have you back for another year of making magic happen for our Comets.

We need YOU: We need parents who are ready to step up, to chair a committee, to learn the ropes and get involved. Because when we come together, there's no limit to what we can achieve. If you're ready to make a difference in please email us at [email protected].

To celebrate an amazing year, we've got one more sweet treat in store. Two Kona trucks are rolling onto Darkwoods Dr. after school on Monday, and 10% of every sale will come back to our PTA. So, indulge in that favorite flavor and know you're supporting our Comets.

Thank you, thank you, thank you – it's been an incredible journey, and we can't wait to see what's next. To our Fifth Grade families leaving Cox, thank you for your support and best of luck with the next stop, Middle School!

It has been a privilege serving as PTA President these past two years and have felt honored to serve and have your kids back, and meeting so many wonderful Cox families. As we end the year and start a new one, we'd love to hear any feedback on events you loved, things you'd love to see, or just want to say hello, we'd love to hear from you at [email protected].

Here's to a great summer!
Kind regards,
Nicky Monahan

To the mothers who nurture with love so pure,
In every form, you make our hearts soar.
Biological, adoptive, or chosen by fate,
Your love knows no bounds, it's never too late.

To the mothers who guide with wisdom and care,
Your strength and compassion are always there.
Single moms, stepmoms, and those in between,
Your love shines bright, a beacon unseen.

To the mothers who sacrifice day in and out,
Your devotion and courage leave no doubt.
Working moms, stay-at-home moms, and all in between,
Your dedication inspires, a true heroine.

To the mothers who comfort with arms open wide, Your warmth and kindness are a comforting tide.
Foster moms, grandmoms, and those who fill in,
Your love knows no limits, it's where we begin.

To every type of mom, near and far,
Your love shapes us, like a guiding star.
On this Mother's Day, we celebrate you,
For all that you are, for all that you do.
