Transforming Austin through the power of the gospel.
Our vision is for Austin to be transformed by connecting individuals, churches, and organizations who express the power of God’s love through practical, life changing ministries.
Hope Street Austin is a non-profit charitable organization funded by donations from individuals, churches, and organizations. Our roots are in the soil of Baptist life although we feel called to work with people from all denominations building bridges uniting believers in Christ to serve in the city together. Hope Street Austin developed out of the Christian Women’s Job Corps of Austin who has served in the city since 1998. Our ministries Life Bridge Job Corp, Simple Church, Grow Together, Hope Street Market, and Rise Youth Development has included serving the:
Body life - food, clothes, personal and household hygiene items
Soul life - fellowship, mentoring, lay counseling, encouragement, job readiness training, life skills classes Spirit life - Bible study and prayer in the classroom and through simple churches in apartment complexes

Happy Friday. Today we're excited to spotlight Mick Ambrose, one of our plumbing instructors (Second from right with some of our Fall 2022 plumbing class students). Thank you Mick!
Mick joined our team of instructors in January '22 and can be best described as a person of truth and grace. If you spend any amount of time with Mick, you'll quickly learn that he loves to share his story of how Jesus transformed his life. He loves his family, football, and plumbing (in no particular order). A champion of people, he brings a gift of being able to see potential in others, connect with people from various backgrounds, and share his successes and failures so others can live a fuller life.
He is a licensed Master Plumber with over 20 years of experience, the owner of Energy Plumbing, and a part of ACTS Church Leander.
