Thank y'all so much for coming to my SOLO Show opening ☺️ You make me happy ☺️
You are bold and delicate, infinitely beautiful and yet rough, very much mortal and thus resilient, you change constantly, and you love every moment of it; you can do it all. You are a story in the making. You got this.
I try to translate my essence into a canvas. I am trying to show what being alive means for me. Now, being alive is a collective experience, both yours and mine. I feel this connection between us with every particle. It’s our humanity that connects us.

Short Artist Statement:
We all have our limitations.
We live in a mortal (healthy?) human body. We happened to be born in a specific country at a particular time; our race, ethnicity, and cultural background also happened to us. We can also not control thinking; it happens to us as digestion does.
Our reality is beyond our knowledge to a greater extent.
We feel it.
We are simple, imperfect, and impermanent, and we know it.
Nevertheless, because of all this, we all feel our completeness and are infinitely beautiful in our fragility and mortality.
We are in this together.
We are connected.
I will exhibit again at The Other Art Fair in Dallas
The last show, in October 2023, brought me much exposure, resulting in gallery representation, cool exhibit opportunities in the US and Europe, new collectors, new projects with interior designers, and a great time connecting with art lovers and fellow artists!
Thanks to The Other Art Fear team for accepting me and putting together this show!
It's an honor to exhibit alongside amazing artists from all over the world! Last October, I saw a lot of powerful, mind-blowing art 🔥

The paint I used in this sculpture is a unique, rich, and distinctive blue.
I am totally in love with this paint 🔥🔥🔥
It is totally flat and ultra-matte.
This paint is not toxic and doesn’t smell bad.

What is this artwork about?

We are connected.
Every sculptured element in my works represents a person, and I incorporate many of them in my sculptures. So, the people in my sculptures - I want them to look similar but different. We are very much alike; our differences are overrated. I made this observation as I am a product of two nations and as a result of two immigrations I made as an adult. But we are not identical; that's why I absolutely don't want those sculptured elements to be smooth and look like they were made in mass production. I want to show their character - their texture. I want them to look rough but in a way that this rough texture emphasizes their gentleness. I want them to look fragile when, in fact, they are really hard to break. I want them to show every touch of my fingers; I create those cracks as they represent different experiences we are going through. And then I organize them on a canvas together in a kind of dance; there is a logic there in the composition because, in this life, we are in this together; we are connected. Somehow. We feel it. Our reality is beyond our knowledge, BUT we feel this connection.
Girl power! Happy International Women's Day!

I finally got some time to take photos of this 20" piece from "The Desire to be in Control " series.
I love to watch people looking at my art or taking photos in front of my work. This is another level of non-verbal communication, and not between two people, but between an art and a viewer. I watch people establish a connection between them and me while they look at my creations (because my work is an extension of myself). I watch my art talking to people. What do they see? How does it make them feel? Some guests always like to give feedback to the artist, so Art Show openings are an excellent opportunity to understand how well artists can convey their ideas in artwork and how readable their work is. I think I do my job well ))

Why does art need an explanation?
You could understand a real piece of art without words only by looking at it. Right?
In general, yes.
Art has the potential to mirror a viewer's own self. To reflect to the viewer something common between them and the artist.
But we are humans; we do not use visual language only (or musical language, for example). We do use words in our life. Why not add them to a piece of art? Especially when the artwork has a philosophy behind it. You might look differently at the artwork after reading what the artist meant by it. It's not that the artist is TELLING you what you are looking at. The artist is talking TO you and invites you to think about this or that idea, observe yourself, your emotional reaction, and your thoughts, and ask yourself, "Why do I like it?" "Why don't I like it?" We are humans - we communicate. "Look what I did! What do you think?" Sometimes, the artist speaks ideas that are so very much not you, at least right now. That's fine. You note it and move on to the next one.
And remember, the artist is not GOD (for those of you who believe in God). We all look at GOD's creations in awe; we don't have any explanation for why he created this world the way he did. We, artists, do not claim to act like Gods; we are who we are, we do what we were programmed to. Creating art is one of those integral activities - we create because we cannot do otherwise. And, as human beings, we need to contemplate why we act the way we are. So, that's why, I think, artists often explain their art in "Artist statements." And, as curious art lovers, we sometimes like to read those, not only look at the art pieces. Some of us do, some of us - not.
