For Shore

Last night, the staff gathered to celebrate a very special member of the Main Street Mercantile and For Shore family, Landa Allen, upon her retirement. 🥰

Landa was our “Steady Eddie and “the Cleaning Machine” - if you look up reliable, hard working, and steadfast in the dictionary, you’ll see her picture!

With her departure goes our Cedar Key historian. Her yarns of old Cedar Key and growing up on the islands were enjoyed by staff and customers alike. And if we were lucky, she would graciously share an old family recipe.

Being a CK born and raised girl, you’ll still see her around town - perhaps in the audience as her husband Mike entertains the folk at the Island Hotel.

Godspeed Sweet Landa and thank you for all the great work and camaraderie!

The folks at Ocean have been making jewelry inspired by their sealife and Irish culture for 40 years. Just like us here in Cedar Key, they
enjoy a breathtakingly beautiful coastline, and use it as the inspiration to create such exquisite pieces!
