Tip 5 — Multi-Factor Authentication

Turn on MFA everywhere. Most account takeovers start with a stolen password. MFA adds a second check (text code, app prompt, hardware key). If an attacker can’t pass that check, they move on to an easier target.

If it touches money, customer data, or email, it needs MFA today.

Tip 4 — Password Strength
Use strong, unique passwords. Length blocks brute force and guessing attacks. Use long passphrases (12–16+ characters). Short or reused passwords are easily compromised.

Tip 3 — Cloud Storage
Store business files in the cloud.
If your data lives on one device, you are one failure away from losing it. Store it in SharePoint, Google Drive, or OneDrive, and keep a separate backup.

Tip 2 — Phishing Training
A fake invoice. A busy employee. A huge loss.
That’s how most phishing attacks happen.
One short training could help prevent phishing dangers.

TIP #1: Use limited permissions for daily work.

Admin access turns small mistakes into system-wide problems. Keep staff in standard accounts and grant temporary admin only when a task requires it.
