Still feeling loose and calm after my massage this morning with Kyanni at The Kneading Well. I tell her how I feel walking in but she figures out what I need that I don't even realize. I always walk out feeling much better.

Kyanni Nicole (The Kneading Well) gives the BEST therapeutic massages!! As an athlete, she truly understands our particular aches and pains! She usually helps me with keeping my quads, IT bands and hamstrings loose to help keep my knees feeling good, but today she worked her magic on my super tight and painful shoulder (also doing PT for it). She knows just what tools (cupping, scraping, massage gun, hot stones, joint spray etc) to use to help loosen up inflammation and treat the muscle tissue. She worked so hard on my shoulder, I surely appreciated it. It felt so much better when I left, I still have work to do, but she sure did help a lot. 😉😊

I have thee best and supportive clients ever. Today, my first client of the day arrived with flowers 💐 for Mother’s Day and a Starbucks gift card for Nurse’s Week from her and her mother. They know this weekend will be a little touchy for me. When I lost my mom last September, my clients showed an outpouring of love and kindness. And most importantly they all returned after my month long hiatus.

This week is the hardest week for me as I approach my first Mother’s Day without my mom who ascended to her heavenly home on September 11th, 2021.

These stages of grief are a mother. But I refuse to let anyone tell me how to grieve nor for how long. I find myself crying out of the blue at the slightest memory or trigger of one. And guess what…I will cry! Just like they say for belches and farts, “better out than in!” Pinned up grief begets depression, anxiety, anger and pain. Instead, I let it flow to protect my peace!
