Wabi-sabi
Say it with me this time WABI-SABI.
One of my teachers would say this during class when you couldn't get your materials to do exactly what you wanted.
Finding the wabi-sabi is a Japanese term that allows you to slowdown and celebrate the imperfections and incompleteness in design.
That one spot that kinda sticks out,
The line that's not quite straight,
That little crease that you just can't suss out.
That's when you know something is human, that there's meaning and the beauty in life is never perfect.

Does anyone else have that friend that pushes you out of your comfort zone, because they just know something is going to work?
I have one, and she coaxed me into wearing this vintage jacket.
I think might know some things!

"EXPANSION"
"We only know a tiny proportion about the complexity of the natural world. Wherever you look, there are still things we don’t know about and don’t understand. There are always new things to find out if you go looking for them."
-David Attenborough
There's this term in the arts called "artistic winter".
It's when your creativity goes dark and you feel lost. You're just meandering between outgrowing what you've already done and waiting to find where the light will peek through next.
You never know how long it will last, what's causing it and how to move forward.
It has to be worked out in its own time.
And sometimes, a small burst comes in the most unexpected way just when you've almost given hope that it will come back.
This boutonniere is a small ray that proves winters don't last forever.
