The Flathead Basin Commission and the Flathead Conservation District are sponsoring a cleanup event of all waterbodies in Flathead County. The 2021 Flathead Waters Cleanup Event is a volunteer event to clean up trash in and around the waterbodies of Flathead County.
Individuals or teams of volunteers will sign up to clean up any river, lake, creek, or pond. When they register, volunteers can select their favorite area to clean up through an interactive mapping feature on the event website.
The event will take place on Saturday, August 14th from 9AM – 3PM with a celebration and prize giveaway hosted at Sacred Waters Brewing in Kalispell from 4PM – 7PM.
Prizes from our sponsors--including a half-day guided flyfishing trip, an evening sailing cruise, jet ski rentals, and outdoor gear--will be given to the volunteers that collect the most trash, find the most unique item, or submit the best photo.
