I was at my inspection today and the first safety hazard I ran into was

Village of Palatine

The Village of Palatine, Palatine Park District, and Harper College are partnering with the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC) to host an Electronics Recycling and Document Destruction Event. The event will be held on Saturday, July 20 from 9 AM to 12 PM. The event will be located at Harper College, 1200 W. Algonquin Road in the parking lot. All vehicles must use the Euclid Avenue entrance only and follow the signs provided. No vehicles will be allowed to enter the event line after 12 PM. Participants must be in a vehicle to drop off materials and no walk-ups will be allowed.

Residents from Palatine and other SWANCC communities are eligible to participate. IDs will be checked for verification of residency in a SWANCC member community. Materials will not be accepted from non-SWANCC residents, businesses, schools or institutions.

About Paper: Only sensitive documents are accepted, that can include medical forms, bank statements, personal files and retired tax forms. There is a limit of 6 file boxes or paper bags per vehicle. Plastic and metal clips or binders must be removed. DO NOT bring paper in plastic bags. DO NOT include magazines, greeting cards or newspapers, as these can be recycled curbside.

About Electronics: Bring only those electronics listed by SWANCC as acceptable. See swancc.org for a complete list. Please remove electronics from plastic packaging and boxes prior to bringing to the event.

Please do not bring household chemical waste, batteries, light bulbs or other unacceptable materials. Do not drop off materials other than during the posted event date and times.
