Hello readers! I am attempting a survey. Who would agree that refunds for services should be given? Ex, if you paid someone to clean your house and then came home to a dirty house, would you expect a refund? You could give the house cleaner another chance to clean it, in leu of a refund. Great! I took my son for a haircut here, the details are unimportant. He showed the stylist a picture of what he wanted,and when we left his hair looked nothing like the photo, not even the same style. I will not mention the name of his stylist because I'm not trying to damage someone's career. My son wears glasses and without them he could not see himself in the mirror to check on the progress, resulting in his hair being cut way too short. (As a side note I want to mention how rudely I was treated throughout this entire process.) After leaving I phoned and spoke to the manager. I explained and asked for a refund. She said no and that they would fix his hair instead. It's impossible to make hair longer, so that couldn't be the resolution. She told me that she will not give me a refund because he was provided a service, and therefore it's not refundable. That brings us back around to my survey. .....Should refunds be given for a service that was performed unsatisfactorily?? A service that could not be rectified. If I had a house cleaner I would, of course, give him/her a second chance to fix it, gladly. But, unfortunately no one can cut hair longer. Perhaps the manager could be convinced to give my son a refund. I'd happily give her another chance to do the right thing. Any thoughts??

Still time to get a facial at Modern Wave Salon and Spa

Wonderful experience at Modern Wave yesterday. In the Covid-19 era, this was really my first foray out experiencing the temperature taking, hand disinfecting and other safety measures, and it was easy. Of course getting my hair cut by my favorite stylist Sarah helped and I walked out of there feeling human again. Thanks Dana, Sarah and company!

When will we be hearing from you setting appointments?

Hi, can you suggest tips for dealing with hair overdue for a cut? My hair is longer than I like but too short to do anything like put it back with a band. I am worried of what I may do if I try to trim it myself. Please and thank you!
