📣 An official invite to ALL City and County /Government Officials; all Public Entities (including the Media Outlets) that have been involved in this ongoing situation, is being sent for this event. The members of our Community have many unanswered questions and concerns that need to be publicly addressed.
It is week 7 of our residents dealing with this health crisis and we have yet to be given the opportunity and respect of an in person Town Hall.

This isn't just for Carson residents, this is for everyone that has been impacted by the Dominguez Channel Disaster. It's time for you to step up and show up! No excuses!

📢 Informational Meeting #3 regarding the Dominguez Channel Lawsuits.

✅ Open to all those that are contemplating joining the class action lawsuit, personal injury, etc.

✅ You have no obligation to join the lawsuit, it is voluntary. You are more than welcome to seek your own legal representation.

For District 4, I ask that you cast your ballot for Dr. Sharma Henderson. Dr. Sharma's passion for service, skills set, experience, and knowledge is exactly what we need on the City Council. We have stark differences in our political beliefs but we are on the same page when it comes to our love and passion for our City.

It's time for our community to turn the page on the sordid Carson politics and stop voting for the status quo.

Our City deserves new leadership that will elevate our community. You're only going to get that with by voting for me as City Clerk and Dr. Sharma for City Council.

My apologies for not campaigning the past month but I felt the health and safety of our residents impacted by the Dominguez Channel Disaster, was far more important than campaigning. There is no comparison.

4th week into this Dominguez Channel Disaster and we are right back at square one.

The Carson City Council have called a Special City Council meeting tomorrow morning to "Proclaim the existence of a local emergency". This is something that should have been done 4 weeks ago! This is why the Governor's Office could not consider our declaration of emergency request. There's a process and the City of Carson did not follow it.

Join us as we rally against the incompetence that is causing the delays of much needed Federal and State assistance for our community.

We need to let them know, is it even safe for us to return to our homes? Spraying a pile of crap with a deodorizer may mask the smell but the crap is still there!

📢 Special Carson City Council Meeting (info on the picture).

Special City Council meeting with two agenda items:

1. Appointment of the new Election's Official for the 11/02/21 Special Election - Assistant to the City Manager Michael George, due to the 10/18/21 resignation of Chief Deputy City Clerk John Carroll.

2. Dominguez Channel Proclamation and update.

The governmental process at the City level wasn't properly done, that is why they have to redo this. I have been saying since week 1, the proper process wasn't being followed at the local level and now this has delayed potential State and Federal assistance to our community.

Carson resident or not, if you're impacted by the Dominguez Channel Disaster make your voices heard and call into the Council meeting!

Being a seasoned speaker at public meetings, let me offer some tips before you call in:

1. I'm sure there will be plenty of folks to call in. Plan to speak for one (1) minute versus the standard three (3) minutes.

2. Start with your first and last name.

3. State if you are a Carson resident, business owner, worker or student in Carson, etc.

4. Have your focal points jotted down so that you do not forget to convey your issues and points of contention.

5. Don't forget the "ask" - what is it that you want the City, County, State, etc. to do.

6. Do not be vague, be specific.

7. Speak with confidence.

Monique and I have signed with Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy, LLP to represent us in a lawsuit against the parties responsible for causing the Dominguez Channel funk. I've attached the information on the picture.

This is completely voluntary and you are free to secure your own legal representation. So many of you have asked for us to find legal representation and this is who we have signed with.
