Discernment is expensive because most people can’t afford to tell the whole truth. 👀

Everybody who comes to you with a story isn’t bringing you the whole story. They’re bringing you the version that benefits them. 💯

And if you’re not careful, you’ll find yourself emotionally invested in a situation you never witnessed, defending people you don’t fully know, and taking sides based on information that was strategically edited. 🎭

Pay attention when someone spends an hour telling you what a person did wrong but can’t spend thirty seconds acknowledging what that person did right. 👇🏾

Tell us about the betrayal.
But also tell us about the support.

Tell us about the disappointment.
But also tell us about the times they showed up.

Tell us about the hurt.
But also tell us about the prayers, sacrifices, opportunities, favors, and doors they helped open. 🤝🏾

Because leaving out critical details doesn’t make a story more truthful, it makes it more persuasive.

Selective memory is still dishonesty.

Some people don’t want understanding. They want agreement. They don’t want wisdom. They want witnesses. They don’t want truth. They want validation. 🎯

And the quickest way to manipulate perception is to tell a true story incompletely.

See, Wisdom understands that people are rarely all good or all bad. Most situations are far more complicated than the version being presented. 🧠

So before you become someone’s backup singer, jury member, or defense attorney, remember this:

There are always at least three sides to every story their side, the other side, and the truth.

Discernment doesn’t just listen to what’s being said.
It pays attention to what’s being left out. 👑

So God hides you in plain sight. While they scroll past you… Heaven is developing you. While they laugh… God is building. While they overlook you… God is preparing tables they won’t have seats at. 🍽️⚠️

And let’s be honest… some people only respect things after crowds validate it. 😮‍💨 That’s why you can’t be bitter during hidden seasons. Obscurity is often protection from premature exposure. 💯
