Christmas Gift ideas that you probably haven't thought of -

A gift certificate for "one electric bill", etc

A bag full of Christmas stockings, already filled with cute goodies

A meal or a grocery trip

Being "Santa" for a child

An evening of free babysitting

A bag of pet food

A certificate for maid service

A "I'm going to come over and help you clean" card

A "I'm gonna take the kids and you're gonna nap" card

A "I'm gonna cook you an amazing meal" card

Gift cards for Kroger, Publix, Walmart and others

Your Christmas gift doesn't have to be wrapped in a bow. Honestly, the best Christmas gifts are considering the needs of the people you're giving to - knowing you have their back when things are hard

Because Christmas is hard.
January is harder.
And tis the season for extraordinary, aggressive love

Maybe it's not for you
Maybe it's for someone you know who needs it.

Pass along.

It's like telling someone with Asthma to stop wheezing cause the sound bothers you.
Or Diabetics to stop counting calories cause "you're already skinny".
Or telling a person with cancer "you're always at the doctor these days. You never have time for me."

If these are your friends? Learn their conditions and support them. Learn their symptoms and help them. This is hard. Your being there can make all the difference.

This is a hard one.

Learning what your triggers are, and starting by avoiding them, is a step towards healing. I'm not going to say that it isn't healing.
But staying there is allowing yourself to become stagnant.
Once you recognize your triggers, that allows you to start to figure out why they trigger you, and what you can do to work through them.

Some triggers, you'll never be able to work through. But you will be able to recognize why they trigger you.

In the end, your triggers are part of your injury. And the way you work through them is just as individual as you are. But make sure you talk through them with your therapist, with your partners, and with your family and friends. Give yourself the support you need to get through the healing you deserve.
