Spurwink Farm

It is with great sadness we share, the owner of Spurwink Farm, Mary Lou Sprague, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday with family. Everyone who met her was in awe of how dedicated, strong willed, compassionate, and inspiring she truly was. Mary Lou continued driving her carriage horses herself at the age of 97, both single and pair, at home and at Acadia National Park. Her, and late husband Phin’s love of sharing this beautiful place with others is what created Spurwink Farm, and what a masterpiece of a property it is!
Spurwink Farm will carry on as it is run currently, hosting events, and at the lower capacity of boarded and family horses. We are honored to continue Mary Lou’s vison and dreams as she wanted.

The Sprague family invites everyone whose life she touched to join us celebrating her life next Thursday August 21st 4pm at Spurwink Farm.

Our Fly in is POSTPONED until next week July 20th

SPURWINK FLY IN IS POSTPONED

Due to the forecasted fog tomorrow we are postponing until Sunday July 20th.
Rain date for July 20th will be Sunday August 3rd.

Please join us soon on Sunday July 13th for our 28th annual fly in! Free and open to the public to come check it out! Pancake breakfast proceeds will go to FAA Chapter 141!

A magical day at Spurwink Farm with Mary Lou and Beth Beth Newlands Campbell. Phin was perfect and Mary Lou even drove the cones course. Things one does at 96! An inspiration to us all.

The weather looks good for tomorrow! So the 2023 fly-in is ON! Can’t wait to see you all there!
