Operation Airdrop is a Texas based 501(c)(3) non-profit that organizes general aviation assets in the aftermath of a natural disaster.

Founded in the wake of Hurricane Harvey in 2017, we specialize in post Atlantic hurricane flooding recovery.

If you are in the path of Tropical Storm Arthur and are experiencing flooding in your area, Operation Airdrop is asking for your support.

Please share any photos of current flood conditions in the comments below or send them to [email protected]. Your images help us better understand conditions on the ground and identify where communities may need support.

Most importantly, please stay safe. Please do not enter floodwater or put yourself at risk to take a photo.

We’re keeping everyone in Arthur’s path in our thoughts. Neighbors helping neighbors is where the response begins.

We’re keeping a close watch on this weather pattern and we will continue to prepare accordingly. Stay safe and stay informed. If you’re in the region, let us know what you’re seeing in your area.

🌧️ Floods happen quickly. Roads disappear. Power goes out. Entire communities become cut off in minutes.

As the water rises in communities across Texas and the South, here are a few things every family should know:

✅ Know your risk. Learn your flood zone, evacuation routes, and where to get local emergency alerts.
✅ Never drive or walk through floodwater. Turn Around, Don’t Drown. The road may be washed out beneath you, and moving water is stronger than it looks.
✅ Move to higher ground early. Don’t wait until water reaches your door. If officials tell you to evacuate, do so.
✅ Build a go-kit. Include water, nonperishable food, medications, flashlights, batteries, phone chargers, cash, important documents, and pet supplies.
✅ Have a communication plan. Know who you’ll call, where you’ll meet, and how you’ll check in if cell service is limited.
✅ Stay out of floodwater after the storm. It may contain debris, sewage, chemicals, downed power lines, or other hazards.
✅ Check on your neighbors. Prepared communities save lives.

At Operation Airdrop, we see firsthand how quickly disasters can isolate families and communities. Preparation starts before the storm. Make a plan, gather supplies, and stay weather-aware.

When roads are blocked, our mission begins.

One major storm, one flood, or one hurricane can be life-changing!

Preparing now gives you time to make informed decisions before a storm hits, when supplies are limited, roads are crowded, and stress is high.

Knowing your evacuation zone, checking insurance coverage, setting up reliable weather alerts, building a supply kit, and making a communication plan can help protect the people, pets, and property that matter most.

A little time and effort planning today can save valuable time tomorrow and help your community stay safer, stronger, and more resilient as hurricane season peaks.

We are officially in hurricane season, which spans from June 1st through November 30th. 🌎

NOAA is predicting a below-normal 2026 Atlantic hurricane season, but preparedness is still essential. It only takes one storm to disrupt communities, damage infrastructure, and create urgent needs across the region.

What are your thoughts on this year’s hurricane season outlook? Did they get it right, or what did they overlook? Drop a comment below and tell us what you’re predicting. 👇

THANK YOU! ✈️💙

Operation Airdrop is grateful to everyone who helped make our inaugural Food Bank Exercise at Gainesville Municipal Airport a success.

Thanks to the support of our volunteer pilots, ground volunteers, donors, and community partners, we gathered **738 pounds of food** for North Texas communities and successfully tested our new **Missions App** in a real-world exercise environment.

This event was more than a food drive. It was an opportunity to strengthen readiness, build relationships, and prepare our team to better support communities affected by natural disasters during the upcoming hurricane season.

To every pilot who flew in, every volunteer who helped on the ground, and every person who donated food or supported the mission: thank you for helping us prepare, respond, and deliver hope.

A special thank you to the Denton Community Food Center for their outstanding support. We appreciate all your help to make this event a success.

Together, we will deliver hope when it’s needed most.
