🏀 THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT. 🏀

More than 50 young athletes spent the week learning, competing, and having fun at the Rough Rider Boys Basketball Youth Camp. Led by Head Coach Curtis Black, his coaching staff, and members of the high school program, campers worked on their skills, built confidence, and got a glimpse of what it means to be part of Rough Rider Basketball.

It’s always exciting to see the next generation of Riders on the court. We can’t wait to watch their journeys unfold and see them continue through the Rough Rider program in the years ahead.

🏊‍♂️💪 THE WORK CONTINUES 💪🏊‍♀️

The winter swim season may still be months away, but members of the Rough Rider Swim & Dive program are already putting in the work this summer.

After several historic seasons, this group isn’t content to simply look back on past success. They’re staying committed, building on that momentum, and preparing for what comes next.

It’s also been great to see incoming freshmen joining summer practices, getting to know their future teammates, and becoming part of the welcoming culture that makes Rough Rider athletics so special.

Every lap today is an investment in the season ahead.

🏈⛳ A GREAT DAY FOR ROUGH RIDER FOOTBALL! ⛳🏈

Saturday’s annual Rough Rider Football Golf Outing was a tremendous success, bringing together 92 golfers and countless supporters for a beautiful day on the course. Thanks to the generosity of the Rough Rider community, the outing raised more than $10,000 to help support team meals, clothing, and equipment throughout the season.

The Rough Rider All Sports Boosters would like to congratulate the football program and thank everyone who participated, volunteered, and supported the event. We also extend our appreciation to the many sponsors whose contributions helped make the outing possible. We’ll be recognizing those sponsors in the coming days.

A special thank you goes to Scott Hamilton and The Hammy for their incredible support. In addition to being the outing’s largest supporter, Scott spent hours at the event helping wherever he was needed. His commitment to Rough Rider Football and our community does not go unnoticed.

We would also like to thank LeeAngelo’s Kent for generously donating food for the outing while also participating as a golfer. Their continued support of Rough Rider athletics—including the donation of meals for many of our student-athlete events throughout the year—is greatly appreciated. Community partners like Lee Angelo’s help make opportunities like this possible.

Congratulations to our flight champions:

Mark Snowberger, Tim Trowbridge, Rob Wise, and Mike Rankin

🏆 PM Flight Champions
Bryan Harvey, Troy Leavery, Shawn Bates, and Griffin Wise

What a great day to support our student-athletes and the future of Rough Rider Football.

So much is happening in the world of field hockey in Kent, Ohio! 🏑

Our community just wrapped up the newly launched Saturday Stick Series program for incoming 6th-12th grade girls. The Roosevelt coaching staff was so proud to offer this free program to introduce new athletes and continue to grow the sport we love in a fun, supportive environment.

But Field Hockey this summer is just kicking-off! Registration is still open for the Kent Parks and Recreation summer camp. Starting the week of June 22nd campers will have the opportunity to work directly with Roosevelt coaches and high school volunteers on stick skills, game strategy, and fundamentals. Support Kent athletics and get your athlete registered today.

🏀❤️ HEAD DOWN. EYES UP. ❤️🏀

The future of Lady Rider Basketball was on full display this week at the Lady Rider Youth Basketball Camp.

Girls in grades 3-8 spent the week developing their basketball skills, learning the fundamentals of the game, competing with teammates, and having fun alongside our high school coaches and players.

More than just basketball, campers embraced the core values of the Lady Rider program. They learned the meaning behind “Head Down, Eyes Up”—working through challenges, pushing themselves to improve, and overcoming obstacles. They also put “Play Hard, Play Smart, Play Together” into action through team activities that emphasized effort, teamwork, and understanding the important role every player has in helping a team succeed.

A great week of learning, growth, and Lady Rider pride. The future is bright! 🏀
