MasterChef Season 10 Winner Chef Dorian Hunter is a French trained chef with a passion for Southern cuisine. Chef Dorian is the winner of MasterChef season 10.
Chef Dorian is the first African American female winner in the show’s history. Chef Dorian is also the oldest contestant to win MasterChef. Chef Dorian specializes in elevating southern food without losing that traditional southern taste. She was a finalist on "The Great Soul Food Cookoff" on OWN & Discovery+. She has also appeared on Beat Bobby Flay on Food Network. Chef Dorian has also been featured in numerous print and on-line publications, along with TV appearances on local TV news stations across the country. She self-published her cookbook “Not Your Average Southern Sides Chick” which is a narrative of her extraordinary life, expressed through her favorite Southern side dishes. The book beautifully intertwines flavorful recipes with personal anecdotes, showcasing the various aspects of her journey towards becoming a distinguished chef.

I couldn’t decide between Red Velvet or Strawberry, so I decided I didn’t have to! 😂🙌🏾
One layer of rich Red Velvet, one layer of Strawberry Cake, filled with homemade strawberry compote AND baked cheesecake. 😮💨🍓 Then I covered the whole thing in cream cheese Swiss meringue icing and finished her with these beautiful wafer-paper flowers. 🌸✨
Y’all… this cake took me ALL DAY! 😂 But LOOK AT HER!! 😍😍😍
I think she was worth every minute.

Throughout my cancer journey, you have stayed right by my side. Through the fear, uncertainty, and hard days, your presence has meant more than I will ever fully express. Thank you for loving me through this season and helping me find strength when I needed support.
I see everything you do, including the quiet things nobody applauds. I see your effort, your heart, and how much you carry while continuing to build your own dreams. None of your love goes unnoticed.
Dorian, you deserve to be celebrated, cared for, and loved as deeply as you love others. My wish for your 53rd year is more peace, more laughter, and more time for the things which bring you joy.

Today, on my birthday, I’m not only celebrating another trip around the sun.
I’m celebrating HER.
The woman who dreamed.
The woman who worked.
The woman who took chances.
The woman who learned from the difficult seasons.
The woman who kept creating.
The woman who kept believing there was more.
Every version of Dorian helped me become the woman I am today.
Am I finished growing? Not even close. 😂
I still have dreams to chase, food to cook, businesses to grow, places to go, and chapters of my story that haven’t been written yet.
But today, I’m giving myself permission to stop for a moment and celebrate how far I’ve come.
I used to think about the woman I wanted to become.
Today, I look at her and say...
