One last cookie to close out 2025, I thought a classic fortune cookie was the right choice to celebrate NYE and the promise of a new year ahead. Happy New Year friends, I hope 2026 brings brighter days and happier times on the horizon.

One last Italian cookie drawing before the month ends, I couldn't skip this delicious fig cookie, sometimes called "little bracelets" that has a delicate lemon glaze and rainbow sprinkles for a little color. Better than any fig newton, these cookies are made with fresh figs and orange zest with winter spices.

Today's cookie drawing is a fun one I always liked the look of as a kid obsessed with Alice in Wonderland, the chessman cookies. They're a pretty unremarkable shortbread but I love the design of them. 🐴

Today's drawing is a little treat from home, the iconic smiley cookies from Fishers Foods was always a favorite of mine, and sorely missed now that all the stores are closed. The happy memories will stay with me forever though. 🥹

Just a quick one today, I drew the Italian horn cookies, they're super soft and delicate dough with just a dab of fruit jam inside and a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Great with a cup of coffee in the morning around the holidays!

Another fancy foil-wrapped candy for today's drawing, these are called Baci Perugina, and are a dark chocolate and hazelnut truffle that comes wrapped in a starry foil with a little fortune inside on a tiny scrap of paper. As a kid, these felt very sophisticated and special to receive at Christmas time. ⭐

Merry Christmas! I decided to draw a treat today that aligns with my own Greek heritage, Baklava. There's magic in the crunchy layers of phyllo dough, honey and nuts. Remembering my dear friend Spike, who shared his family recipe with me and made me a whole batch of it just for me when I told him how much I loved his baklava at our work potluck. I hope I can pay just a little of that kindness forward into the world.

Happy Christmas Eve! Today's cookie illustration is of the Italian Tri Color Cookie. These are so delicious with a soft and dense almond sponge layered with a fruit preserve in between the layers, and a dark chocolate exterior. 🇮🇹

I've been looking forward to illustrating this particular holiday treat! Growing up I always assumed they were super expensive and rare, and treasured them when I got to finally taste the hazelnutty goodness of Ferrero Rochers. ✨

A fun and slightly uncommon one for a Monday, gumdrop nougat. I'm a big fan of the chewy texture of nougat, so I personally think these are pretty and fun to eat, and they were fun to draw as well. I think they look like pretty stained glass cubes.

Blessed Yule and Happy Solstice! Today's fitting holiday treat illustration is the Yule log cake, which always looks so pretty, and definitely tastes better than a real log. Today marks the sun's return and brighter days to come! 🌲🔆
