This past year Faculty Director Michelle Carter hosted our “Community in Conversation” series! CiC is an ongoing dialogue series exploring a new topic each session! Residents share perspectives, listen to diverse experiences, and explore how to create positive change in our everyday lives. We closed out this year with a field trip to see Black Swan! 🦢🖤 We are excited to bring conversationlists together again in the Fall and beyond! 🗣️

This past weekend, GCP hosted a Creative Writing Workshop where residents got to dig deep creatively: we talked about the positive effects of creative writing, wrote with practice prompts, delved into some flash fiction ⚡️, and read about ways we can be stonger writers! ✍️📝

This year’s Community Children’s Closet was our biggest yet! We were able to donate 20 bags of clothing to to support our local community as well as our residents! A huge thank you to our Harvard community (residents, property management, volunteers, faculty directors, and family Program Manager Andrea Normoyle). This event doesn’t happen w/o their involvement and Andrea’s thoughful leadership! ♻️👚🧸🖍️

We had a great time visiting The Museum of Bad Art (MOBA) with Senior CAs Jack and Baoqing! Residents explored the museum, shared thoughts and laughs over the wonderfully unconventional artwork, and wrapped up the evening with good conversation and snacks together. Thanks to everyone who joined us for such a fun and memorable outing!

Last week, Faculty Directors Nancy Hill and Rendall Howell hosted their final Open Mic & Jam Session 🎺🎸 The magic of being fully present for one another through music will stay alive in GCP because of Nancy and Rendall! 💛
