The Harvard Callbacks had an incredible time in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, our first stop of our winter break tour! 🇩🇴
We went sightseeing in Ciudad Colonial, visited the beautiful Los Tres Ojos National Park, as well as having an amazing time with the Ministry of Educación and merenguing at Secundaria María M. Comprés de Vargas High School!
Lastly, we would like to say a huge thank you to for their hospitality. The Harvard Callbacks had such a wonderful time staying there and enjoyed performing at such an honorable event💙

Thank you to all our CB family, alumni, friends, and supporters who made this night very special! 💙✨

Last but not least, introducing Newbie Number #4!!
Ziad is a first-year in Wigglesworth—the best first-year dorm—who comes from London. Yes, he has an American accent, and no, he has never lived in the US before. Do not ask him why. When Ziad was three years old, a bear hid him away in a cave, where it trained him in martial arts and piano. He doesn’t know the first thing anymore, but boy howdy does he play a lot of piano! Coming fresh out of the HRDC production of Merrily We Roll Along’s pit and figuring out the Harvard-Berklee Joint Studies Program, Ziad is looking forward to those magical moments where you finish a song and everyone in the room just KNOWS you ate. Speaking of eating, Ziad is a fierce defender of HUDS, and will die on that hill with a full stomach and a satisfied smile. He hopes you have a wonderful day!

Introducing Newbie #3, our ray of sunshine from the Sunshine State, Christian Serrano!
Christian is a sophomore in Adams House studying Economics and English. At Harvard, he writes fun articles for The Crimson’s Flyby Blog, plans events with the College Events Board, and works for the career center as an Arts, Entertainment, and Journalism Peer Advising Fellow! In his free time, he loves journaling by the river, taking photos on his digicam, and exploring Boston/Cambridge with friends in search of yummy restaurants & cafes to try. His favorite memory with the Callbacks so far was spending time together during retreat, and he’s looking forward to performing with the group during tour and at Fall Jam!!💙

Next up is Newbie #2, Anthony Borrelli! Anthony is a first-year from Needham, Massachusetts, planning to pursue a joint concentration in Music 🎶 and Anthropology with a citation in Spanish. When he’s not singing bass for the Callbacks, you can find Anthony performing with the Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum, shredding guitar 🎸 in the practice rooms, composing with HCA, volunteering with MIHNUET, and working for The Mix. And when you can’t find him doing any of these things, he is most definitely locked 🔒 in (or not) in Lamont Cafe. In his free time, Anthony loves listening, playing, and writing all music from folk to metal. His current favorite artists are Jesse Welles, Basement, blink-182, and The Devil Wears Prada. So far, Anthony’s experience with Berg food has been…interesting, so he most definitely prefers grabbing a slice (or three) at Joe’s, but NOT Noch’s. This year, Anthony is so excited to record and release his own music, take ethnomusicology courses, and go on so many fun, crunchy granola hikes 🥾🏔️ with HOC! Anthony can’t wait to record an album 💿 together with the Callbacks this year as well! WOOHOOO!!!
