I am SO excited to announce that I’ll be presenting at this year’s HBCU EdTech Summit & Career Fair in Atlanta, GA! šŸŽ“āœØ

To be a young, Black woman in tech — building education technology that has already impacted thousands of students and families — that is what fuels me every single day.

That’s what I do it for.

This moment is extra special because this will be my FIRST time presenting my new platform, one that eight years of lessons, trials, and unwavering support helped me build.

From securing $3M in scholarships as a student to now helping others do the same through Securing Degrees technology… God is so good.

If you’re in Atlanta, make sure you register; you don’t want to miss this!

Support is a verb.

I had the pleasure of traveling to Boston to support the incredible Shawna (.fwd), CEO of , at this year’s TEDxHarvard conference — and what an experience it was.

Being in a room full of greatness is one thing. But hearing my company featured during her powerful talk on how founders shape the future?

That was a moment I’ll never forget.

Shawna, you are a true example of how uplifting others can create a ripple effect. I’m so grateful to be in your village. Show up for your people, and watch what happens.

Thankful šŸ™šŸ½

šŸ”šŸŽŠCONGRATULATIONS Ms. Homeowner!! šŸ¤

Y’all, God was ALL OVER this deal and process. Thank you God for allowing Amari and I to work so well together and truly learn during this process. We are so blessed & truly an example of two Young Black women excelling to the fullest!!!. šŸ’•šŸ™šŸ½

It’s so important that I take the time to congratulate and also thank my client, for choosing me to represent her on one of the biggest, most exciting purchases in her life.

I am SO proud of you for your perseverance and faith you have demonstrated in this process. We have negotiated together, planned together, prayed together, and most importantly showed up as our best selves together.

You and your family trusted me with this process & truly gave me an opportunity to show you all why I was the best decision & best person to represent you.

I enjoyed every home tour, phone call, and email sent on your behalf. It’s such an accomplishment to be a homeowner at the age of 25! As I told you yesterday, you are transitioning into a new season, and I am excited to see what God has in store for you in 2026!

You did it!!! You are officially a homeowner!! Congrats!!! šŸ¾

Wow! What an amazing time to practice ballet while also celebrating šŸŽ€

Y’all, I haven’t put on leotard and tights since middle school šŸ˜‚ so this was so amazing to tap into little Vicky (she was really happy🄹)

Not only did we refresh on the basics, but we also did a whole routine. I’m wishing for more nostalgic moments like this in 2026 🄰

🚨 Big news: I’ve been named a 2025 Camelback Fellow!

I’m incredibly honored (and still processing!) the fact that I’ve been selected to join Camelback Ventures’ largest cohort ever—a group of 20 visionary founders working to reimagine what’s possible in early childhood, education innovation, healthcare access, justice-impacted communities, and more.

As the founder of Securing Degrees, a platform on a mission to help students graduate debt-free through culturally responsive scholarship coaching and mobile-first tools, this moment is deeply personal. I started this work because I know what it’s like to be the first, to navigate college with more drive than resources, and to carry the weight of possibility for an entire family or community.

Camelback has long championed underestimated entrepreneurs—Black, Brown, and bold dreamers like me—and I’m beyond grateful to grow, build, and scale alongside this community.

Meet the full cohort here āž” https://www.camelbackventures.org/blog-posts/meet-cohort-15-camelbacks-largest-cohort

Let’s go. ✨

One of my favorite birthday presents on May 14th was winning a $100k Honda Foundation grant for my client, a community non-profit based in Southern California.

As I reflect, on another win, it’s so crazy how transferable my scholarships skills are to grant writing. Im literally self taught and it proves that some of us, like myself, are really just gifted in some areas. Im realizing my gift lies in helping people and orgs tell their story in a strong, persuasive, compelling and powerful way to get funding. It’s so cool that I get to do that with organizations through and with people through 🄹 I’m so grateful and blessed by God šŸ™šŸ½

25 is already showing out and I’m excited to impact more lives through storytelling. If you need help getting free money, click the link in my bio :)

Lately, I’ve been in more and more rooms where AI and venture funding are positioned as the only paths to success.

But let me be clear:
You don’t need to raise millions or integrate AI into every corner of your business to build something meaningful, profitable, and scalable.

I’ve bootstrapped to multi–six figure revenue, helped 4,000+ families secure over $25M in scholarships, and built trusted partnerships with school districts, colleges, and nonprofits.
All without raising a single round or ā€œleading with techā€ for the sake of trendiness.

AI is powerful—and yes, we’re exploring ways to use it internally to improve our backend systems and support.
But what makes us unique is that we’re actually reaching our students with high-touch support, not letting robots do the work for them. Our students don’t need more automation—they need accountability, encouragement, and access. That’s what actually changes outcomes.

And when it comes to funding, I’m not anti-investor—I’m pro-alignment.
We’ll raise when the terms match the mission, not just because ā€œeveryone else is.ā€

To any founder building from scratch and feeling behind because your journey looks different—you’re not behind. You’re building with purpose.

And that’s more than enough.

I’m so excited to be accepted into the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women – Black in Business cohort! This week, I’m in New Jersey, surrounded by powerful, ambitious, and like-minded women who are all here to grow, make an impact, and build meaningful business relationships.

If you had told me a year ago that I’d be in this room, I would have smiled, but deep down, I would’ve had my doubts. Walking away from great paychecks, financial security, and the comfort of a steady job was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. Entrepreneurship is not for the weak—it will test you, stretch you, and force you to grow in ways you never imagined.

But let me tell you about God. Not only did He catch me when I took that leap, but He swiftly replaced every dollar I left behind—and then some. He opened doors, aligned me with the right people, and made sure I never lacked. This journey has been nothing short of divine alignment.

For anyone doubting whether to take that step, know this: when you walk in your purpose, when you trust the process, and when you remain obedient to the vision, the provisions will follow. The opportunities, the connections, the financial blessings—it will all come.

I’m beyond grateful for this opportunity, for this community, and for the chance to keep building something bigger than myself. This is just the beginning! Let’s work! šŸ™ŒšŸ¾āœØ
