Appliance Assistance Interest Check for Disaster-Impacted Households

The Santa Cruz County Long Term Recovery Group (SCCLTRG) is conducting a preliminary interest check for a limited number of new appliances that may become available through Good360, a national nonprofit and disaster recovery partner, for verified disaster-impacted households currently repairing or rebuilding their homes.

Potentially available appliances include:
• Whirlpool 5.0 cu. ft. Gas Convection Range with Frozen Bake™ Technology
• Midea 24" Smart Dishwasher
• KitchenAid 30" 1000-Watt Microwave Hood Combination with Convection Cooking
• Whirlpool 1.1 cu. ft. Low Profile Microwave Hood Combination

At this time, SCCLTRG is seeking to understand community interest and estimate potential transportation and distribution needs. Submitting an interest inquiry does not guarantee that an appliance will be available or reserved.

Please note:
• Appliances would be available only to verified disaster-impacted households.
• Quantities are expected to be limited. While the timing of requests will be considered, SCCLTRG will also prioritize lower-income households and those with the greatest unmet recovery needs.
• SCCLTRG is unable to store appliances under any circumstances.
• Interested households must be able to pick up and transport appliances from a designated location within Santa Cruz County on a specific date and time to be announced.
• Households must arrange their own transportation from the pickup location.

If you are a disaster impacted household currently repairing or rebuilding your home and are interested in receiving one of these appliances, please fill out the following form so we can better understand community demand:

We were honored to accept the Be the Difference Award on behalf of the volunteers who give their time, skills, and energy to help their neighbors and strengthen our community.

Volunteers have played a vital role in supporting recovery efforts throughout Santa Cruz County. Through home repairs, accessibility improvements, debris removal, and helping complete ground-up home rebuilds, volunteers have provided thousands of hours of labor that directly support disaster survivors on their path to recovery. Their dedication has helped families restore safe, stable housing and move forward after disaster.

Volunteers are at the heart of what we do, and we are grateful for every person who has given their time, skills, and energy to help their neighbors recover.

Thank you to the volunteers and community partners who continue to make recovery possible! And, thank you to the Volunteer Center of Santa Cruz County for bringing together such an inspiring group of organizations and volunteers for a fabulous event.
