The pond is starting to look more pond like after this week’s rain 🌧️💜

I recently got the opportunity to go to the Homestead Festival in Tennessee with my The Painted Buffalo and we made so many meaningful connections with other homesteaders and event speakers.

The consistent messages I heard described the constant learning process you will experience as a homesteader and that community interdependence leads to more success than individual goal seeking.

It is refreshing to spend dedicated time in a community of like minded people, but we live in the real world, with real problems too. Learning how to take your knowledge and share it with others is part of your success as well.

Rainy day hay drop off to round out the weekend 🌧️🌾

The rain didn’t seem to slow down egg production this week…I have 8 dozen farm fresh eggs available for local pick up 🐓🥚

With the incoming rainstorms we are planning to complete projects in the workshop today. Animals will still get fed, waters filled up, and maybe some seed thrown out on bare spots in the pasture.
