We got a few “Mocha Marans” this spring and I’m loving their personalities. They are some sort of hatchery hybrid based on Marans and RIR.

With everything going on this spring with our move I haven’t spent as much time with this season’s juvies as I would like, but these little cuties are extremely confident and friendly 💜

I’m guessing their eggs will be more tan than mocha, but we’ll see!

He is without a doubt the backbone of our homestead and I am so grateful for all he does to make this little dream possible. Thank you for always stepping up when I’m down, and for filling every waterer, every damn day 🤣
