We are OPEN!! Carts are available. We had several golfers today and with the 57 degree day Monday...we look forward to seeing more tomorrow!

Superbowl champ., Tom Nowatzke, with his friends at the Eldorado. A very nice group of gentlemen!

Tom Nowatzke (on the left), five year Detroit Lion and Superbowl Champion, and his friend, take time to let our staff member show off his ring. We were honored to have Mr. Nowatzke and his friends spend two days with us and very appreciative with how patient he was with so many of our golfers and staff members wanting to grab a photo with him, wear the ring, get an autograph, or talk about his touchdown in the superbowl...A great group of guys!
Twenty-four people signed up so far today for Oktoberfest...Weather looks like it's going to be very good. We have 38 players in our tournment this weekend already.
Our biggest tournament of the year, Oktoberfest, will be rescheduled for this upcoming weekend. Please call our shop, 231-779-9977, for your spot in this two person scramble with German beer tasting, potato soup, brats made especially for the day, and way too much German music playing all day long.

Beauty at the Eldorado
Brian Campbell had a pretty good day on Sunday. Brian was crowned the 2012 Eldorado Club Champion after grinding through some pretty tough weather for two days. Dave Baker, President Cup Champion, kept the pressure on Brian during a cold and windy day to place second in the tournament. Brian's day started with the news of a far greater achievement though. His son shot a huge buck just before Brian pegged it up on the first tee and Adrian, Brian's father and past Club Champion, was the guide. Not a bad day.
Dave Baker wins all his matches this summer to go on to be the President's Cup Champion. Dave edged out our last year's champion, Jim Loftus, on the final match of the year. The President's Cup is our largest tournament that begins in the start of the season and ends with two golfers, who played all summer long without a loss, going head to head for The Cup. Jim Loftus was the target this year and played amazingly well to make it to the final match again! Mr. Baker's name will be engraved on the cup and handed to him at the Club Championship Awards Ceremony. Congratulations Dave

We definitely hope you get out here and tee it up with us soon.

Eldorado's Best!

Hole twelve...only 215 yards of carry required to land beyond trouble...just need to add thirty more to putt.

Irrigation staff was put to the test this year with high temps and no rain..course in perfect shape for the final months of golf!
Pat Foster Eagles the 337 yard par four fourth hole. He used a nine iron for his approach and rolled it in the cup and moved onto number five. Dr. Carroll was playing along with Mr. Foster and confirmed he hit a nice shot.
Don Tibbits get hole in one on number 12, our most difficult par three! Don's playing partner, Jeff Sapalweski, said he hit a high tee shot from 195 yards out that bounced one time and then slammed in the hole. Jeff said, "his ball mark could be seen from the tee!"

Thank you to the more than a hundred and seventy golfers today! Our greens will be even quicker tomorrow.
Great weather all week is expected at the Eldorado...the greens will reach their peak speed over the next couple of weeks.
Kris Swaffer Jr. plays the bounce off the flag stick on number 17 and records a one on the hole. He was playing from the tips and knocked a six iron in during some rainy and windy conditions. His father and friend, Rob Grostick, ran to the cup first to yell back the good news.
Without at doubt, the best outing took place today at Eldorado. Thank you AAR for showing our staff how fun golf can be and never letting weather affect your enjoyment!

A nice reminder that your score is not what golf is about.
Come tee it up tomorrow with the members at Eldorado for Thursday Game. Dan Pohl will be joining us for a 1:00 tee off and will stick around to play an extra nine with friends of Eldorado.

A beautiful end to a great day off golf.
Marty Bender scores a two on our 490 yard par five! Mr. Bender was 215 yard out after his drive and rolled his next shot in the cup. Congratulation, Mr. Bender, you have scored our first two on that hole.
