Holiday Honky-tonk Dance with the Queen City Cut-ups last Saturday in Cabot!
Cabot’s all Honky-Tonk tonight! 7pm
We have one more show to go in the Cabot Folk Club’s Fall season, (Bow Thayer 12/28) but it’s not too early to say that the Folk Club experiment of 2023 has been a great success! A great deal of our success has been thanks to our Folk Club members which have provided a foundation of support that has enabled Cabot Arts to feel confident in booking our wonderful Vermont artists.
As we look forward to the Winter/Spring 2024 season, we are also looking for your membership support. Membership structure will remain the same: the season of 4 concerts for $10 each. (Whatta bargain!)
Holiday Gift Idea: We’ve recently had a patron purchase two, season memberships for family members. If you would like to gift someone a Folk Club membership, let me know and I will print a certificate and send it in the mail to you or the recipient. When it comes to gifts, experiences are so much better than things.

Terrific concert given by the Sky Blue Boys last night on the Cabot Village Common. Thank you, everyone for coming out!
The Cabot Arts Summer Music Series launches Tuesday, August 15th with The Sky Blue Boys! Concerts run from 6 - 7:15pm and are free to the public. Normally, these shows are held on the Cabot Village Common, but because of rain in the forecast, tomorrows show will be held in the Cabot United Church.
The Sky Blue Boys are Banjo Dan and Willey Linder. These two brothers have played together for decades. They were featured instrumentalists, writers, and vocalists with the celebrated Vermont bluegrass band Banjo Dan and the Mid-Nite Plowboys, touring and recording extensively until the band’s retirement in 2012.
Dan and W***y have built up a large repertoire of wonderful old ballads, parlor songs, heart songs, and sacred numbers that still, in the 21st century, tell timeless truths. Both of them songwriters, the Sky Blue Boys also deliver their own material, and expand on the traditional instrumentation to incorporate a rich array of acoustic sounds. Their shows are packed with variety, energy, and fun.

First Round of Photos from The Cabot Arts and Music Fest. last weekend. Thank you, everyone, for coming out and making it a very special day!
Due to the catastrophic flood damage in Cabot Village, we will be moving the the festival to a new site and downsizing just a bit. Sadly, we’ve lost our dance venue, but on the bright side we’ve picked up a great place for a bonfire and pony rides!
The new location will be at the Lower Cabot Schoolhouse, 1643 VT-215. There will be one, all-day ticket (at a reduced price) of $30 advance ($40 at the gate). All profits will go toward Cabot recovery efforts.
There will be a 30'x50' tent on site. The yard and gardens are beautiful and there's plenty of shade. Having the vendors, food trucks, arts and activities at the schoolhouse will turn the site into a sweet little village for the day. We hope the festival will provide a much-needed break and respite from the grueling recovery effort, and provide some much needed levity and joy for our whole community. So, bring a lawn chair, bring a friend, bring your kids... it's going to be a great time!
Schedule, Tickets and F.A.Q. can be found at www.cabotarts.org
