Renew Thrift Store

I don’t shop at Renew Thrift Store because I need more stuff.

I shop there because one day I will be dead, and I refuse to leave behind a disappointing estate sale.

Imagine dying and all they find is IKEA furniture and an air fryer.

Humiliating.

No. When I go, I want strangers lined up around the block at 5:30 AM fighting over my vintage Pyrex, brass candlesticks, suspiciously large collection of ceramic birds, and one lamp that everybody is pretty sure is worth something.

I want my children standing in the driveway saying:

“Mom never told us she had all this.”

Correct.

Mom was building inventory.

And somewhere in the crowd, I want two women named Linda quietly destroying a 34-year friendship over a $6 casserole dish.

That’s not clutter.

That’s a legacy. 💅⚰️
