Today we lift up every kind of father with gratitude and love.
Thank You for the dads who have guided us from our first steps, for stepdads who chose us and stepped into our lives with open arms, for adoptive fathers who built families not by blood, but by bond,
for fur-dads who care deeply for their animal companions, showing kindness, protection, and unwavering devotion.

Bless the fathers who are with us and those who are gone, the ones who have mentored, supported, and stood by us,
and the ones doing their best, even when it’s hard to see.

Grant strength to the tired dads,
peace to the grieving dads,
hope to the waiting-to-be dads,
and comfort to those whose father figures were absent or hurtful.

May all fathers know they are seen and valued, not for being perfect, but for showing up with love.

The Washington County 8-year-old softball all-stars won the Texas East District 13 championship in Burton on Tuesday evening, defeating Columbus 10-7 in the championship game.
Washington County went 6-0 in the district tournament, scoring at least six runs in every game with 10 or more runs in five of its six games.
