So, here’s a narrated version of my most recent workout that no one asked for but you’re getting anyway. 😂😂 If you know me, you know I appreciate a solid workout. Over the years I’ve had to unlearn some really toxic workout culture standards. Like… if you’re not damn near dead after the workout it’s not effective. Or, if you aren’t sweating profusely are you even working out. Don’t get me wrong, I will always give my all in every workout but that definitely doesn’t mean going hard every single time. It just means that I will show up and get it done. I’m all in because it’s MY time for me. It’s what I do to replenish my soul and spirit. Interested in getting strong together? A few reflections and a few intentions for the new year! ♥️

Killing time while Ella’s in her math session. Sometimes it feels like I’m looking under couch cushions for minutes to do the things that I know I need. If no one told you today, you’re doing an amazing job!💕

I’m committing to accepting myself as I am each day • unapologetically ← 𝒯𝒽𝒶𝓉’𝓈 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓀𝑒𝓎! It can be difficult to let go of worry, care, and the need to appease others. We sometimes feel pressure to show up in a certain way that makes those around us feel comfortable. I’ve felt that a lot lately. When people ask how I’m doing, I feel the need to say, “Great! or SO much better!” Even if the day isn’t so great, and even if I’m not feeling well at all. We may feel like speaking our truth, and accepting ourselves as we are will somehow translate to some sort of burden on others. When honestly, we should feel empowered to say how we feel, and take the good with the bad. At the end of the day, It’s not my job to make people feel comfortable. Its not your job either. That’s too much pressure to put on ourselves!

The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it... you just just have to believe it 100%! . . . I’ve learned this a lot during my time at home. Some days are better than others... of course. But I try to soak up the good days, to show myself the bad ones are fewer and further apart than it may seem. I had zero desire to move today. Stress from work, homeschooling, no energy... the pits. This workout about killed me! More because my head was ALL OVER the place. But I got it done. And I feel good! 💯🙌🏾 . . . Ps. Why am I JUST realizing how hard #donkeykicks actually are!? Goodness gracious! 🔥
