Layering with DIY Paint helps to showcase all the beautiful detailing of your furniture. Here, DIY Paint retailer Cristie Lunsford of Granna’s Vintage Nest used a basecoat of Black Velvet & sealed with with Big Top. She then painted with Crinoline & Vintage Linen and wet distressed back to pull out the black undertones. Clear & Black Waxes provided the icing on the cake. Yummy, don't you think?

Tip of the day!! To get a beautiful, shiny, durable, top coat… use BIG TOP top coat let it dry, use steel wool, wipe with a dry cloth, repeat process… let dry then repeat process one more time! You get a beautiful shine… ps… I used Dark and Decrepit patina for the “stain”!!! It turned out beeoouuutiiiful!!!!! 🤗😘

Hey y’all!!! I haven’t posted in quite some time… and I haven’t picked up a brush either in way too long! Life has a way of throwing a curve ball sometimes… but just wanted to jump on here and say hey to all my sweet friends! I actually went out to my “paint” building Saturday and did a little work on a project that I should have been finished with a long time ago! 🤦🏼‍♀️🥺😜 I so enjoyed getting my hands back into some clay and I even slapped some paint on a chest of drawer for my sis! Here’s a sneak peek of some clay work… hope you all had a wonderful holiday and an awesome New Year!! Love y’all!!

Here she is!!! I haven’t been able to stage this piece and it needs to be buffed, but I wanted to share this beauty with y’all!!! Painted with DIY chalk paints and inspired by a piece Dionne Woods with The Turquoise Iris painted… she named hers was called Summer Moon” that piece was so magical …so here is my version of that piece!
